INCIDENT LOG

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

Sunday, Jan. 20: A man advised dispatchers he was on the way to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport for treatment of a continuously bloody nose.

Desiring contact with the Washington State Fish and Wildlife Department, a caller reported that bald eagles were eating ducks being raised in a pond.

An Irby Road resident reported vehicle spotlighting in a nearby field.

Dispatchers took a call from a Harrington woman reporting a suspicious person.

Deputies were advised of a potential threat to a resident of Lincoln.

Suspecting the use of intoxicants, deputies took custody of the driver of a vehicle that slid off Heid Road in the Hawk Creek area.

Monday, Jan. 21: Gateway railroad workers were dispatched to Reardan where crossing arms were reported down for at least 20 minutes.

Harrington ambulance personnel transported a man who possibly had taken some pills to Lincoln Hospital. Davenport ambulance transported a 77-year-old woman who injured her hip in a fall to the hospital.

A Davenport woman reported vandalism to a car parked in the 900 block of Maxwell Street. A license plate was broken and damage also occurred to the front grill.

Deputies responded to a heated argument between occupants of a residence in the 900 block of Morgan Street in Davenport.

A deputy checked out a report that four horses appeared neglected and malnourished on property near SR 231 and Laney Road.

A resident of the 600 block of Main Street in Davenport offered a stray cat a place to warm up and posted its whereabouts on a social media site.

Deputies investigated a possible trespassing incident involving residents of Paradise Lane in Lincoln.

Tuesday, Jan. 22: Responding to a smoke-filled house in the 900 block of Monroe Street, Davenport firefighters determined smoke was coming from a chimney connected to a wood stove.

Deputies responded to a report of a burglary at the Sprague Chevron station.

Davenport deputies worked city code violations in the 600 block of Tenth Street, the 1000 block of Park, the 1000 block of Washington and the 1000 block of Eighth.

Odessa Police investigated a residential burglary in the 300 block of Birch, where pry marks were found on the back of the house involved.

Wednesday, Jan. 23: Burlington Northern Santa Fe crews dealt with a malfunctioning railroad crossing arm in Lamona.

Harrington ambulance personnel transported a 4-year-old girl having breathing trouble to Lincoln Hospital.

A vehicle went into a ditch at SR 231 and Crescent Road.

Deputies assisted a man who had slipped, fallen and hit his head near Morgan and Seventh streets in Davenport.

Thursday, Jan. 24: Davenport ambulance personnel transported a 76-year-old Seven Bays woman suffering from flu and dehydration to Lincoln Hospital for treatment.

A Reardan woman reported a man had been continuously banging on the door of a residence in the 100 block of East Railroad.

Ten beds were reported stolen from a rental house on Kintschi Road near Sprague.

Friday, Jan. 25: Reardan-Edwall School District reported a two-hour delay in the start of classes due to freezing rain and several reports of ditched vehicles.

Odessa ambulance personnel transported an 86-year-old man to the local hospital after he fell at a residence in the 600 block of Sage Drive.

A vehicle apparently got stuck while attempting to turn around near a ditch on SR 23 near Sprague.

A Davenport couple reported $30 had been taken without permission from their local bank account.

Deputies investigated a report of a bad check allegedly used to buy $50,790 worth of cattle from Stockland Livestock Exchange in Davenport.

No one was reported hurt as a result of a one-vehicle rollover collision was reported at Kagele and Bates roads near Odessa. A guide wire to a power pole was snapped and several yards of fencing also were taken out on adjacent property.

Plumbing work being done inside the Wilbur Senior Center accidentally activated a fire alarm there.

Wilbur Police searched for suspects believed involved in a shoplifting incident at the Dream Cottage.

An injured deer that allowed neighborhood children pet it won the hearts of residents in the 600 block of SW Bruce Street in Wilbur who told police they would try to nurse it back to health.

Saturday, Jan. 26: A "very slippery" Coffeepot Road was blamed for a vehicle slide-off about a mile from Harrington near Rocklyn Road. Responders deemed the surface so slippery that a tow was impossible until ice melted.

Deputies were advised of a potential threat to a resident of Creston.

A Wilbur woman reported a fraudulent charge - from Bangkok - had been made on her debit card.

Deputies responded to a report of an argument between two individuals in the 600 block of Main Street in Davenport.

Deputies placed a man in custody after responding to reports of an erratic driver traveling in the wrong lane on SR 2 between Spokane and the Reardan area. He later was examined at Lincoln Hospital for possible diabetes issues.

Wilbur Police were able to persuade occupants of a vehicle that drove away from the Wonder Mart without paying for $10 of fuel to return and do so.

Sunday, Jan. 27: Several slide-offs were reported on state and county roadways in Lincoln County.

Odessa ambulance personnel assisted an elderly woman who lost consciousness while at the Heritage Church.

Deputies responded to a domestic incident involving an Edwall family and a possibly stolen vehicle.

Deputies became involved after receiving word from Harrington that a woman had made threats against her own life.
