Sheriff welcomes new jailer/dispatcher, reserve deputy

Lincoln County jailer/dispatcher Anna Bocook graduated from the corrections academy in Burien Wash., Friday, March 15. Deputy Bocook graduated with 29 other recruits who represent agencies all over the state. The hour-and-a-half ceremony was well attended by many representatives from throughout the state.

Sergeant Mike Stauffer, Jail Superintendent Lyle Hendrickson, Undersheriff Kelly Watkins and Sheriff Magers joined Deputy Bocook for the ceremonies, along with several family members. The four-week corrections academy is very intense and covers all aspects of correction deputy responsibilities. “We are proud to have Anna on our staff. She is an excellent addition to our team,” said Sheriff Wade Magers.

On Saturday March 16, Reserve Deputy Kody Becker graduated from the Spokane Reserve Academy. Sheriff Wade Magers and Chief Criminal Deputy Brian Telford attended to recognize Becker’s achievements, dedication and effort over the past six months. Cadets attended training every Wednesday for three hours and all day Saturdays for six months.
