INCIDENT LOG
Editor's note: Most items in this section reflect the starting point for response by local police and emergency agencies. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.
Monday, March 11: Deputies and emergency personnel from Harrington and Odessa were among the first responders to a report of the crash of a U.S. Navy Prowler jet in a stubble field near Coffee Pot Road about eight miles west of Harrington. All three crewmembers were killed.
A Davenport woman told dispatchers that a dog had attacked her kitten in the 400 block of Adams Street.
Concerned about liability issues, a landowner advised that young boys play on his property in the vicinity of SR 28 and Hopp Road east of Odessa and that they had built a fort from old railroad ties.
Juveniles were observed riding dirt bikes in a field near the LDS church and the blue water tank in the vicinity of Wheatland and Eighth streets in Davenport.
Odessa Police investigated a report of a sexual offense.
Tuesday, March 12: Reardan EMTs and Davenport ambulance personnel assisted a 37-year-old man having breathing difficulties while at Bubba's Bar and Grill in Reardan.
A Davenport area caller told dispatchers someone had tried to sell a Honda motorcycle that subsequent investigation revealed had been stolen in Spokane.
Deputies issued a citation to a driver whose only reason for entering Davenport from the west on SR 2 at more than 60 miles per hour was that she was late for something.
Wednesday, March 13: Sprague ambulance personnel assisted a 39-year-old man with chest pains.
Deputies checked out the area near Davenport Elementary School after a caller reported she saw a man in his 20s or 30s wearing a white stocking cap and standing outside the school fence.
Deputies investigated a minor in possession incident involving a Davenport High School student.
Deputies investigated a reported assault incident in Davenport.
A two-vehicle collision was reported outside a residence on SW College in Wilbur.
Reardan Police responded to a narcotics-related incident in the 100 block of West Summit.
Thursday, March 14: After discovering a cut fence, deputies checked out a possible theft incident at the CenturyLink lot on County Road just off SR 2 in Almira.
U.S. Navy personnel requested assistance from law enforcement with a group of "belligerent civilians" attempting to access the site of Monday's plane crash near Harrington.
A resident of the 900 block of Morgan Street in Davenport requested help with a juvenile boy who was breaking things inside.
Friday, March 15: Deputies investigated a narcotics-related incident in the Davenport area.
Deputies joined Wilbur Police in responding to a report of "gunshots fired" in the 400 block of NE Cliff. The noise actually came from fireworks being shot off in celebration of a resident's birthday.
Odessa Police responded to a report of three females fighting in the parking lot of the local hospital.
A caller reported that a 4-wheeler had crashed on Division Street in Odessa; its male driver dusted off a small child and went on their way.
Saturday, March 16: A vehicle was involved in a rollover collision, landing on its side in the ditch, on SR 2 near Davenport. Beer bottles were discovered nearby.
Someone drove off from the AgLink in Reardan with a gas pump handle still attached to the vehicle.
After a deputy responded to a reckless driving report near Davenport on SR 2, the driver involved acknowledged "a little bit of road rage" between himself and a man who reported the incident.
A group of dirt bike riders were observed "tearing around" near the city water tower at Eighth and Lincoln streets in Davenport. A deputy advised the four individuals involved to obtain the property owner's permission.
Odessa Police checked out possible trespassing by juveniles on private property in the 300 block of North Division Street.
Odessa Police issued a verbal warning in response to loud music coming from a residence in the 300 block of South Alder Street.
Sunday, March 17: Creston ambulance personnel transported a woman to a Spokane hospital after she fell into a church pew and may have broken ribs and her hip.
A Seven Bays man requested help after his dog locked his keys in his car.
A Davenport woman told dispatchers that her daughter didn't arrive at church as expected and hadn't yet returned home. A deputy was able to locate the girl.
Wilbur Police noted that smoke from a furnace had filled the shop at Tom's Heavy Equipment on SE Bruce.

Criminal Disposition
Tyson Jerred Heath, 23, of Davenport, pleaded guilty March 12 to intimidating a public servant (sheriff's deputy Andy Manke) during a Sept. 26, 2012, incident. Through plea negotiations, a second count was dismissed, along with two counts of third-degree assault and another of resisting arrest. He must serve 90 days jail (with time served credited), six months probation, pay $800 court costs, complete alcohol/drug evaluation and treatment and not consume alcohol during that period.
Civil Judgments
A Dec. 11, 2012, Lincoln County District Court judgment awarding $702.80 to Phillip Christopher Gort, of Spokane Valley, from respondent Simone Elise Metcalf, of Reardan, was filed in Superior Court. The matter concerned an unpaid loan.
Reardan Red Rooster, Inc., of Reardan, must pay $5,558.93 of taxes due from October through December of last year to the Washington State Department of Revenue.

John Russell Hicks, Jr., 29, of Odessa, is charged with second-degree rape and indecent liberties in connection with alleged incidents of sexual contact with a 21-year-old woman on Feb. 16 and 17.
