Harrington Community Hall hosts CRP meeting May 7

The Farm Service Agency will be presenting a Conservation Reserve Program Informational meeting May 7, 2013, at 8 a.m. in the Harrington Community Hall, 6th N. Third Street. The presentation will provide information to those considering re-enrollment or looking to participate for the first time.

According to FSA County Executive Director, Melissa Michael, "although the CRP program has remained constant over the years, there have been slight changes within the program that producers may not be aware of. This meeting is an opportunity to gain understanding of those changes and leave equipped to make an informed decision regarding current, expiring and new CRP contracts." Representatives from the Lincoln County Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Conservation District will also participate in the meeting.
