Three-day extension offered to filers for local position

According to Shelly Johnston, Lincoln County Auditor, there will be a special three-day filing period held from Tuesday, June 25, through Thursday, June 27, 2013, for the purpose of declaring candidacy for the following elective positions that were not previously filed for during the regular filing period:

Cemetery District 2 Commissioner – 4-year unexpired term

Cemetery District 6 Commissioner – 6-year term

Park & Recreation District 2, Commissioner #4 – 6-year term

Fire Protection District 7, Commissioner – 6-year term

Fire Protection District 8, Commissioner – 6-year term

Public Hospital District 1, Commissioner – 6-year term

Harrington S.D. #204, Board Director #5 (at large) – 2-year term

Wilbur S.D. #200, Board Director #5 – 4-year term

Town of Creston:

Council #4 – 2-year unexpired term and Council #5 – 2-year unexpired term

City of Harrington:

Council #2 – 4-year term

Treasurer – 4-year term

Lakeview Sewer District 1:

Commissioner – 6-year

Declaration-of-candidacy forms are to be filed with the Lincoln County Auditor’s Office at the Courthouse in Davenport between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the above stated dates.
