Monday, Sept. 23: A "very big wolf" was sighted along Miles Creston Road.

A pickup truck, filled toolbox and plasma cutter were reported missing as the result of a burglary reported at property along North Oestreich Road in the Harrington area.

Deputies investigated a burglary at property along Creston View Road.

Deputies responded to a report of threats involving students at Davenport High School. Deputies returned a boy to Davenport Elementary/Middle School after he left campus and said he wasn't coming back.

A Davenport woman found blood on her truck parked in the 1000 block of Washington Street.

After a MedStar dispatch was cancelled, Wilbur ambulance personnel transported a man who possibly suffered a stroke to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport.

Odessa Police found a lock broken at the entrance of the town's water building.

A 15-year-old Ritzville boy is suspected in the theft of more than $200, along with two iPod devices from a residence in the 300 block of South Division in Odessa.

Tuesday, Sept. 24: A Doerschlag Road resident told dispatchers that two men and a woman in a vehicle stopped and asked directions, but seemed "suspicious," especially since her house is "out of the way and someone would not have happened upon it."

A collision involving a vehicle and deer was reported on SR 2 about five miles east of Davenport.

A Davenport woman told dispatchers she got a fire signal from the new furnace she had just turned on for the first time. A responding deputy determined there was no fire, but a malfunction.

People have been observed crossing the cordoned-off area and going inside a collapsed building in the 200 block of West First in downtown Sprague.

Emergency personnel assisted an 89-year-old woman who suffered a head wound after falling at the Davenport Subway restaurant.

An apparently intoxicated man was observed yelling and making obscene gestures at passersby on Wild Turkey Lane in the Creston area.

A Davenport woman reported possible identity theft after she believes bank account information may have been taken from a truck. Spokane Police are investigating the use of a check from her account.

A Sprague resident reported seeing an attempted break-in at a garage in the 500 block of West 5th Street. The suspect wore a black hoodie and dark pants.

Reardan Police were sent to the high school to assist with a "disorderly" student there.

Wednesday, Sept. 25: Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Railroad and D streets in Sprague. A deputy cited one of the drivers for failing to yield the right-of-way.

Davenport deputies responded to an unspecified juvenile problem in the 1000 block of Twelfth Street.

A boat got loose, fell off a Mick's Auto tow truck and overturned onto the roadway at the intersection of SR 2 and 25 just east of Davenport.

An Almira woman reported telephone threats had been made against her.

Wilbur ambulance personnel assisted injured occupants of a vehicle involved in a rollover collision on SR 2. Damage to a nearby fence also was reported.

Thursday, Sept. 26: Electricity was off in the Town of Reardan while Avista Utilities personnel performed scheduled maintenance.

Deputies investigated a trespassing report from property adjacent to Bachelor Flats Drive in the Creston area.

Wilbur Police investigated a report of vehicle prowling in the 600 block of NW Cole.

Friday, Sept. 27: No injuries were reported as a result of a one-car rollover collision on SR 23 south of Harrington.

A responding deputy was unable to locate a woman reported walking near railroad tracks near the intersection of SR 28 and Harrington Airport Road.

A deputy assisted a woman who accidentally locked her vehicle with her 10-month-old child still inside in the 200 block of East 4th in Sprague.

While parked on the side of SR 2 near Bennett Road, a sheriff's patrol vehicle was struck by a passing vehicle, resulting in damage to the patrol car's mirror. The deputy subsequently pulled that vehicle over and the driver acknowledged he "knew his mirror hit something."

Wilbur Police investigated a woman's report that she found her back door unexplainably open after finishing a shower at her home in the 400 block of NW Dellah.

An Odessa woman told police she encountered an aggressive dog that came after her car while driving in the vicinity of 4th and Alder.

National Park Service officers investigated a weapons discharge reported at Keller Ferry.

Saturday, Sept. 28: Odessa ambulance personnel transported a woman with breathing difficulties to the local hospital from the 200 block of South Fairway.

A 43-year-old man who refused treatment for a head laceration suffered in a rollover collision involving a 4-wheeler in the Deer Meadows area accused a responding deputy of being "high on marijuana and acting strange" and that he planned to sell his property because he was "scared" deputies would retaliate against him.

A Davenport woman told dispatchers she was being harassed by an ex-boyfriend who she claimed had placed numerous phone calls to her.

Two women and a girl reported hearing strange noises in the vicinity of the 600 block of Lincoln Street in Davenport.

Wilbur Police investigated a burglary at a residence in the 700 block of SE Railroad Avenue.

Sunday, Sept. 29: High winds forced closure of the Keller ferry.

Responding to a reported domestic dispute at a Wheat Road residence in Wilbur, deputies arrested a man on a Spokane warrant for domestic violence and transferred him into the custody of Spokane officers.

Two hunters were reported trespassing on property adjacent to Lakeview Ranch Road at SR 21. A responding deputy redirected them to the property they had permission to be on.

A deputy assisted after two cows were observed down in a ditch along SR 2 and Sterett Road.

A man and woman were arrested for possessing a stolen vehicle and eluding law enforcement after Lincoln County deputies joined a high-speed pursuit initiated by Spokane County deputies and the Washington State Patrol on SR 2, Wood Road, Coulee Hite Road and Crescent Road, among others in the Reardan and Davenport area. The vehicle was finally intercepted when it got stuck on Mill Canyon Road near Zeimantz Road and its occupants fled on foot (without benefit of shoes and socks). Deputies caught up with both a short time later.

New Criminal Cases

Brian E. Martin, 44, and Julie Ann Scott, 45, both of McCall, Idaho, are charged with second-degree kidnapping in connection with the Aug. 17 abduction of a "mentally diminished" girl who was found in the Chelan/Leavenworth area on the following day. The girl disappeared from a Davenport church, where she was waiting for her father to finish maintenance work. In a related case, Jacob Todd Jones, 28, of Willis, Texas, is charged with second-degree rape by forcible compulsion and second-degree kidnapping with sexual motivation.

Michael Wayne Brimberry, 42, of Creston, is charged with second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm in connection with a Sept. 22 incident in the vicinity of Wild Turkey Lane.

In an unlawful detainer matter, Carol Angstrom, manager of Butte View Senior Apartments, seeks eviction of Ricardo Salinas from premises at 245 NE Foster in Creston.

Court Report correction

In the Sheriff’s Report last week the last entry was incorrect. Liquor and one beer cooler, valued at about $225, were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of East 1st Avenue in Odessa.
