In the market for a ferry? Martha S for sale by DOT

Tim McGuigan, Director of Legal Services and Contracts for Washington State Ferries, has announced that WSDOT’s former Lake Roosevelt ferry, the M.V. Martha S, has been re-posted for sale on the State Surplus electronic auction site (which includes vessel photos) at http://www.publicsurplus.com/sms/auction/view?auc=1001101

The auction period is October 8-18, 2013, and the minimum bid amount is $5,000 (reduced to expedite the sale, since the federal government wants the vessel removed from its property list). A spare engine and prop shaft are included in the sale....
