Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
Chambers of commerce, government officials, schools, libraries, civic groups, banks, economic development leaders – decision makers of all types who want to grow their entrepreneurial community are invited to participate in the 2013 Rural Pathways to Prosperity Conference. The conference is designed to help rural communities identify ways to build their local economy by creating a place for businesses to thrive.
Scheduled for Friday, November 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., the conference format is quite different from typical statewide conferences. It will include an interactive forum with Becky McCray, a national expert in entrepreneurship and co-author of Small Town Rules: How Big Brands and Small Businesses Can Prosper in a Connected Economy. McCray will deliver a keynote presentation via webinar to 13 locations around the state. After her presentation, each site will turn their attention to the issues, resources and project ideas for the local community. There will be time for networking over lunch, and then the sites will work together on ways to improve how they support entrepreneurs.
