The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.
Monday, Oct. 28: A Davenport man reported that his bank had alerted him about the attempted unauthorized use of his credit card to purchase security equipment in India. The credit card had been used to purchase fuel at the former Davenport Food Mart prior to its abrupt closure in September and sudden disappearance of its manager, who has been charged with several counts of theft and other crimes.
Two men burned debris from a tree that fell across Sterling Valley Road and operated 4-wheelers on adjacent property without the owner's permission, prompting a call to dispatchers.
Investigating a malicious mischief incident, deputies discovered damage to a motor home and house on Olson and Omans roads near Davenport.
A vehicle came to rest on its top after a rollover collision on Spring Canyon Road. The female driver was checked out at Coulee Community Hospital in Grand Coulee.
A male driver was examined at Coulee Community Hospital after a rollover collision on the Old Coulee Highway about three miles north of Almira. Responding officers believe alcohol may have been a factor.
Tuesday, Oct. 29: A utility work crew's work at night in the 200 block of Sinclair Street prompted a call from a Davenport woman who expressed concern about the hour.
A male student is believed responsible for throwing rocks and breaking a window leading to the weight room at Harrington High School.
A Davenport woman reported that a $20 Visa card, $100 in cash and a bottle of prescription medicine were missing from her purse at her residence in the 100 block of Eleventh Street.
A Davenport man said someone ordered women's shoes online and used his credit card without permission.
A collision involving a vehicle and cow was reported on SR 21 near Wilbur.
A woman told dispatchers she had been assaulted by a man at Lakeview Terrace Mobile Home Park near Grand Coulee.
Wilbur Police investigated the possible assault of a man.
Wednesday, Oct. 30: Emergency personnel from Wilbur and Creston assisted a young man in Wilbur who was said to be hallucinating and accusing people of assaulting him. He was transported to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport.
A Creston resident reported the theft of a torch system and tanks, two chainsaws and a battery charger from a garage in the 200 block of SW Railroad.
Residents of the vicinity of Gunning Road and Ross Street in Davenport alerted deputies that a "suspicious" long-haired man had been "walking up the road all day." A responding deputy couldn't find the man.
Alcohol was believed a factor in a one-vehicle collision on Devils Gap Road north of Reardan, just north of the Spokane County boundary.
Thursday, Oct. 31: Dispatchers were advised of a domestic dispute involving a woman and her boyfriend in the 200 block of West 5th in Sprague.
Deputies dealt with a man who was discovered living in a trailer in the 600 block of Maxwell Street in violation of the Davenport city code. The man said he planned to move into a unit at a local RV park.
A Davenport man reported that brakes on a farm truck had been tampered with while parked near SR 28 and Tanner Road. Responding deputies couldn't find evidence of such tampering.
A Mondovi area man reported unauthorized use of his credit card at a Target store in Mount Vernon, N.Y., with five purchases totaling $2,457.
A caller described a 3-year-old girl in a pink bunny suit appeared to be lost and the whereabouts of her parents unknown while trick-or-treating in the 800 block of Main Street in Davenport. The child's father reportedly retrieved her after the call.
Someone placed a large pile of leaves in the street at Eighth and Marshall in Davenport.
After two vehicles collided near Doxies in Wilbur, local police investigated a possibly related road rage incident.
Friday, Nov. 1: A Davenport man told dispatchers that his bank had alerted him that his credit card had been used to purchase about $400 worth of merchandise at two locations in Michigan.
Deputies responded to a bad check incident at a business in the 300 block of Morgan Street in Davenport.
Deputies worked Davenport city code violations in the 1000 block of Seventh and the 1000 block of Eighth Street.
A collision involving a vehicle and deer was reported on Schirr Road just south of Wollweber Road in the Edwall area.
A Sprague man reported a verbal confrontation at his home with his 21-year-old son who usually resides elsewhere in Sprague.
A caller told dispatchers he may have collided with cattle reported in the roadway at SR 25 and Hume Road north of Davenport.
Wilbur Police dealt with a man who was found trespassing on property in the 400 block of NW Della.
Odessa Police responded to a verbal dispute involving residents in the 300 block of East 1st. Alcohol may have been a contributing factor. A woman was taken into custody.
Reardan Police stopped a vehicle believed to have caused another driver to go off SR 2 about three miles from Reardan's east end.
Saturday, Nov. 2: A juvenile male who fell asleep was the driver of a vehicle involved in a rollover collision on SR 21 just south of Wilbur. A juvenile female was a passenger. Wilbur ambulance personnel were sent to the scene.
A Wilbur couple returned to their NE Cadco Ave. residence to find a man sleeping in their bed. He was soon placed inside a patrol vehicle.
An Odessa man told police about threats made against him.
Sunday, Nov. 3: Sprague ambulance personnel assisted occupants of a vehicle involved in an I-90 collision who suffered ankle and head injuries.
Reardan firefighters and emergency personnel responded to a one-vehicle collision involving a power pole on SR 2 across from the West Deep Creek Grange Hall.
Dispatchers were advised of suspicious activity, loud music and traffic problems during night hours near the intersection of Third and Alice streets in Harrington.
Three juveniles (two boys and a girl) walking down the center of SR 231 near the Crop Production Services plant north of Reardan was advised they were a traffic hazard. One of the boys turned out to be a missing person from Spokane.
A 17-year-old boy was injured after apparently hitting himself in the head with a rock in the 100 block of NE Cliff in Wilbur. A MedStar air ambulance was dispatched from Moses Lake (snow prevented the usual response from the Spokane fleet).

Oct. 30: Samantha A. Berry, 18, Nespelem, arrested by Washington State Patrol for failing to appear for driving while under the influence and no valid operator's license.
Lester V. Priest, 26, Usk, Wash., held for Okanogan County for failing to appear for driving while license suspended.
Oct. 31: Bobbie D. Roche, 42, Veradale, arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) for driving while license suspended and reckless endangerment.
Nov. 1: Robert J. Childress, 38, homeless, arrested by Reardan Police for driving while license suspended.
Nov. 2: April M. Rice, 32, Spokane, arrested by LCSO for failing to appear for a child support matter.

Criminal Sentencings
Kristina Ilene Goetz, 33, of Odessa, pleaded guilty (Alford plea) Oct. 29 to fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), amended through plea negotiations from second-degree assault (DV). The charge came as a result of a Sept. 12 incident in Odessa. She must complete 19 days confinement, an anger management course (with restrictions on where she may live) and pay $700 court costs plus attorney fees to be determined.
Ryan Allen Neble, 27, of Everett, Wash., pleaded guilty Oct. 29 to fourth-degree assault and riot while armed, amended through plea negotiations from second-degree assault and felony harassment. The charges involved a May 26 incident at Sterling Point campground (Lincoln, Wash.) during which a 30-year-old woman reported a man had placed his hands around her neck and threatened to smash her head on rocks and throw her into the water. His sentence includes 137 days of confinement (credit for time served), $800 court costs plus attorney fees to be determined and a no-contact order.
Civil Judgments
Karrie A. Butrick, of Harrington, must return $2,439.16 in overpaid benefits to the Washington State Department of Employment Security.
Andrew D. Downing, of Davenport, must return $9,049.52 in overpaid benefits to the Washington State Department of Employment Security.
New Civil Cases
Shane M. Evans, of Seven Bays, is appealing a decision from the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals in Olympia to the Superior Court. The Washington State Department of Labor and Industries is the respondent.
Seeking a protection order, petitioner Nathan D. Mielke, of Davenport, accuses his uncle, Robert E. Mielke, of harassment and trying to force him from both his job and residence at the family farm "through law enforcement and the court system." In his petition, Nathan Mielke details a lengthy history of incidents involving the two men, including a protection order obtained by Robert and Kristy Mielke in effect last spring. Robert Mielke filed a request that the matter be heard by a judge other than Judge Strohmaier, claiming Strohmaier is "prejudiced" against him.
