Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
Christmas Fest on December 4 was by all accounts a big success again this year. The Odessa Community Center was filled with vendors. The number of visitors ebbed and flowed throughout the day, a normal occurrence for this event.
As always, there was entertainment on the stage for most of the day. For the first time, the students of Odessa's newest piano teacher, Emma Squire, performed on stage. Another popular attraction involved the two youngest classes of dance teacher Apryl Kuch. They also performed on stage.
A total of 269 entries were received from which 32 names were drawn for door prizes.
The community business raffle had 38 entries, with four participants each winning $50: Paul Kuch, Marilyn Heninger, Colleen Lobe and Jan Webster.
The local cub scouts did well selling Christmas trees, despite the frigid weather. Only a single tree was left at the end of the evening. All the rest were sold.
Several downtown businesses served refreshments to their customers throughout the day.
