“LaRee Kuchenbuch is our new assistant coach,” said girls basketball coach Kim Kruger. “She has already shown herself to be a very valuable asset. I’m excited to work with her this year.”
Kruger also said, “Our numbers are down this year until we get some eighth-graders to come up and help us out. [Therefore,] we only played two quarters of JV ball at Republic.”

Odessa freshman Shelbey Watkins scored 26 points to lead the Titan JV squad to a very lopsided victory over the Soap Lake girls JV Friday at home in Odessa. She was a fierce competitor throughout the game.
The Soap Lake girls never gave up, however, and when they finally got their one and only basket to fall through the hoop in the fourth quarter, the entire gym, Titans and Eagles alike, erupted in cheers.
