Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
Michael Cronrath, the social studies teacher at the Harrington School District, reports that the Eastern Seaboard Trip of 2015 is only about 18 months away. Students (and adult chaperones) from Harrington, Davenport, Sprague, Odessa and other surrounding communities have gone on this trip in the past and have deemed it a worthwhile educational experience.
The trips are organized through Smithsonian Student Travel, which has informed Cronrath that that the price for the trip will go up after the first of the year. However, if two travelers sign up between now and December 31, 2013 the lower price will be locked in (and therefore will NOT go up) until March 31, 2014.
An informational meeting will be held in Harrington on Tuesday, January 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the history room at Harrington High School. Those who are sure they or someone they know wants to go on the trip can go to the website at http://www.EFExploreAmerica.com and sign up for Tour Number 1478257RE.
Cronrath said he wanted to get the word out that the trip is being planned, and that the price can be locked in early to make the trip affordable. Interested parties may contact Cronrath with questions at 509-253-4331.
