The home of Sam and Donna Mullins won first place in the Odessa Lion's Club annual Christmas lighting contest. Our pictures do not do justice to either displa. Our readers are advised to drive by and have a look in order to really appreciate the time and effort expended to set up these lighted displays that really encompass the entire yards of the two families.
The annual holiday lighting contest sponsored by the Odessa Lions Club gave out only two prizes this year. The home of Sam and Donna Mullins received first prize of $150, and the home of Keith and Becky Kolterman received the second prize of $50.
Both families went to a lot of effort to make their houses and yards attractive with light strings outlining eaves and porches, lighted figures standing in yards and trees and bushes strung with more lights. The two winners this year truly outdid themselves.
The lighting displays in evidence all around town, some quite lavish, others quite understated...
