The season for growers' meetings has begun. Wilbur-Ellis held their meeting Friday, January 17, at the Odessa Community Center, with pesticide credits provided and various speakers giving information on topics of interest to area growers of grain, potatoes and other crops.
Breakfast pastries and rolls were supplied by Grannie BarBar, and a prime-rib lunch was catered by JonathINNs Country. Wilbur-Ellis provided each attendee with a zippered binder, a small spiral notebook and pen.
The meeting was well attended, with most seats filled when the meeting opened Friday morning. Other companies will be offering similar types of meetings prior to the start of spring field work.
