Odessa FBLa members are working on the Odessa Craters project: Elizabeth Larson, Dakota Largent, Jenna Shafer, Chris Shafer, BLM representatives, Katie DeWulf, BLM representative, Tyler Paris.
Members of the Odessa High School FBLA Chapter (Future Business Leaders of America) have been working with Chris Shafer of Odessa, the area's Natural Resource Specialist for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), on a community service project to improve the Odessa Craters Loop Trail five miles north of Odessa.
Recently, FBLA committee members Elizabeth Larson, Dakota Largent, Jenna Shafer, Katie DeWulf and Tyler Paris shared the action proposal they have written together with BLM representatives. Some of the goals include improving the trail tread, providing educational materials and creating a curriculum to be used by students.
The proposal was well received, and the FBLA chapter will move forward next month with the help of Chris Shafer to begin making trail improvements.
