O-H girls lose final game, season record is 8-12

The Titan girls played their final two games of the regular season. Friday's game honored the team's senior players.

Wellpinit

On Friday, January 31, the Titans were in Harrington for a game against Wellpinit, losing 41-46.

Katie DeWulf and Cydnee Kieffer each scored 9 points to pace the Titans. DeWulf also had 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and Kieffer had 4 rebounds, 5 steals. Jordyn Tanke had 8 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal; Lanessa Simon 7 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal; Casey Schlomer 6 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal; Hannah Schmidt 2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal.

Wilbur-Creston

On Saturday, February 1, the Titan girls played Wilbur-Creston at home in Odessa, losing 38-71, against a taller, faster, very aggressive Wildcat team. After an even first quarter, the Wildcats charged ahead.

Simon led the scoring with 15 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal; Tanke 10 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal; Kieffer 5 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal; DeWulf 3 points, 11 rebounds, 1 assist; Schmidt 3 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists, 2 steals; Schlomer 2 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals; Zoe Clark 2 rebounds, 2 assists. Isabelle Phillips also saw playing time.

ACH

Tuesday's final game against ACH was also a loss for the Titans, but the girls were nevertheless encouraged by their improvement over last year.

Tanke led the Titans with 13 points. DeWulf had 10, Simon 8, Kieffer 5, Schmidt 3, Clark 2. Additional stats from the coach were unavailable at press time.

The Titans end their season with a record of 8 wins, 12 losses overall and 3 wins, 5 losses in league play.
