O-H girls lose to Republic and ACH to end BB season

Last Wednesday, the Titan girls lost to Republic, 66 to 45, playing an away game at Republic in the first District 7 1B matchup. Down by only two points at half time, the Titans were outplayed in the second half by the league-leading Tigers. Republic will play Selkirk in the semifinal game this weekend.

Jordyn Tanke scored 12 points to pace the Titans. Katie DeWulf had 10 points, Cydnee Kieffer 9, Lanessa Simon 8, Casey Schlomer 4, Hannah Schmidt 2 and Zoe Clark 0.

On Saturday in Deer Park, the Titan girls lost a very close game to Almira/Coulee-Hartline, which eliminated them from further post-season play.

The girls lose only two seniors this year, so can look forward to an even better season next year.

Simon scored 13 for the Titans, Schmidt 2, Tanke 2, Dewulf 7, Kieffer 7, Schlomer 4, Isabelle Phillips 0 and Clark 0.

The girls end their season with a record of 9 wins and 14 losses overall, with 3 wins and 5 losses in league play, a far better record than they posted las year.
