Monday, Feb. 17: A county jail inmate was discovered putting toilet paper inside the mechanism of the door of his cell. He explained that he wanted to come and go from his cell.

Spilled waste oil was found on the floor of a shop building on McRae Road, along with vehicle tracks nearby.

Deputies investigated a reported assault of a 14-year-old boy who was walking with a female classmate on their way home from school.

A man was observed standing in the middle of the roadway at the intersection of SRs 28 and 21 in Odessa, posing a traffic hazard by jumping out in front of passing vehicles.

Tuesday, Feb. 18: Water flowed over the roadway on portions of Moore, Fisher and Tamarack Canyon roads. A state Department of Transportation crew was sent to repair a washed-out culvert on SR 231 in the Edwall area.

Davenport ambulance personnel assisted a 61-year-old man.

A one-vehicle collision was reported on the SR 174 grade north of Wilbur.

A caller phoned in his concerns about a red mini-van with two adults and four children who seemed to be hanging around in the Harrington city limits for a couple of days. It was later determined there was a relationship between the occupants and a local woman, who offered access to an Olaf Street residence for use of the restroom.

A Sunset Highway resident told dispatchers about a man at her door who said he was there to check out reports of TV problems in the area. The caller noted she has no cable or satellite service and that the man didn't return after returning to his vehicle to retrieve a business card.

Reardan Police arrested a 22-year-old local man on two counts of theft.

Wednesday, Feb. 19: Sprague Post Office personnel indicated concern that a patron hadn't picked up her mail in a long while. A responding deputy determined the woman had left for the winter, but didn't advise the post office.

A Davenport woman told dispatchers she thought she heard someone trying to enter her home in the 800 block of Marshall Street through a back door.

Thursday, Feb. 20: Deputies retrieved a package with a white substance inside that a state Department of Transportation employee found at the SR Telford rest area.

After a Sprague woman advised that someone was harassing her through Facebook, deputies began a cyberstalking investigation.

A Davenport man reported the theft of about $150 worth of firewood from a residence in the 800 block of Morgan Street.

Odessa Police investigated a reported child abuse situation.

Friday, Feb. 21: The Keller ferry was shut down for about an hour for maintenance.

A county jail inmate was warned after corrections deputies found drink mixes in a cell. Another inmate was warned for having a breakfast bar in her cell.

A collision involving a pickup truck and a Jeep that had just passed a Reardan-Edwall school bus occurred on SR 231.

Deputies quieted a verbal dispute between neighbors who live on SR 25 north of Davenport over teenage boys who were shooting guns.

Stopping a vehicle on SR 231 north of Reardan, a deputy found a woman, in tears, who said she was on her way to see her brother in Stevens County after he had threatened suicide.

Saturday, Feb. 22: Davenport ambulance personnel assisted an elderly man who was reported down in the bathroom at a residence in the Serene Meadows complex in the 800 block of First Street.

A Little Falls Road resident reported someone brandished a gun and threatened to shoot her children after they had helped a neighbor catch a small pig.

A Davenport woman became suspicious of a man working the 800 block of Maxwell Street who offered her steak and seafood because he "needed to unload them before reporting back to (his) boss." A responding deputy determined the man was a legitimate door-to-door salesman, although he apparently had no solicitation license from the city.

Despite an advisory from the bank's security department, a deputy found no unauthorized card reader attached to the ATM machine outside Harrington's US Bank branch.

Reardan Police investigated the theft of a tool box, circular saw, two other saws and other equipment from a garage in the 200 block of East Spokane Avenue.

Sunday, Feb. 23: Sprague ambulance personnel responded to collisions on I-90 in the area.

Two Stow-A-Way Storage units in the 1400 block of Twelfth Street in Davenport were missing locks and several items inside.

No one was hurt in a one-vehicle slide-off on SR 2 about a mile west of Reardan. A responding deputy warned the driver about traveling too fast for conditions.

A hit-and-run driver took out about 70 feet of barbed wire fence after his vehicle left Waukon Road about a quarter-mile north of Horlacher Road.

Wilbur Police responded to a domestic verbal dispute between a woman and a man in the 200 block of SE Brace Street.

Feb. 19: Patricia L. Ankney, 47, Nespelem, arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) for failing to appear for driving while under the influence and while license suspended.

Feb. 20: Martin A. Aguilar, 25, Riverside, Wash., confined 15 days by the court for driving while license suspended.

Lowrie R. Ruddell, 58, Spokane, confined one day on an out-of-county sentence.

Feb. 21: Joseph R. Harding, 33, Spokane, arrested by LCSO for failing to appear for driving while license suspended.

Michael J. Stowe, 51, Concrete, Wash., detained under contract with City of Airway Heights.

Sukhmani Corp., doing business as the former Davenport Food Mart, must pay $6,856.37 in tax obligations from Aug. 1 to Oct. 31 of last year to the Washington State Department of Revenue.

Carl O. Gronlund, doing business as Carl's Tire in Wilbur, must pay $485.55 in tax obligations from September and October of last year to the Washington State Department of Revenue.

Carsie James Tikka, 35, Spokane Valley, is charged with second-degree child molestation and three counts of fourth-degree assault in connection with incidents involving a 13-year-old boy on Jan. 12 and 13, while a passenger in a vehicle the accused was driving in and north of Davenport and at the boy's home near Harrington.

Shawn Cory Dahlenburg, 23, Almira, is charged with unlawful damage to cemetery property in connection with an incident resulting in some $5,976 damage to the Almira Cemetery, where a car struck a pump, demolished two gates and dented a drainage culvert. Alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor.
