The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.
Monday, March 10: In what was believed to be the result of vandalism, a headstone at Mountain View Cemetery in Davenport was found broken off.
An Almira man reported that about 100 pills of prescription medicine were stolen during the night from a parked car in the 200 block of South 5th.
A backpack was reported stolen during the Little Guys wrestling tournament in the Davenport High School gym. Inside were headphones and about 146 pills of prescription medication.
A Harrington woman told dispatchers that "four" kids (three males, one female) had broken into a brick house in the 300 block of North Third Street. One individual entered through a window, the others through a back door. A responding deputy determined the individuals were in the process of purchasing the property.
Deputies investigated a Davenport woman's claim that threats had been made against her.
Reardan Police responded to a report that a dog chased horses on property in the 500 block of Lake Street.
Tuesday, March 11: Railroad crossing arms were reported down in Odessa; a driver told dispatchers he had nearly been hit by them while crossing the tracks.
A caller said he had been attacked with a taser at the Sprague I-90 rest area, from which he had walked into the city limits to find a phone. He explained he was sleeping in a friend's car when an altercation broke out between them.
A Sprague woman reported receiving threats on Facebook.
A vehicle was reported stuck in the mud on land adjacent to Lake Valley Loop Road west of the old Sprague highway.
Completing a welfare check on a Davenport woman that was requested by her neighbor, a deputy discovered her with a gash to the head she apparently suffered about eight hours before. An ambulance crew transported her from the residence in the 700 block of Thirteenth Street to Lincoln Hospital.
After receiving legal paperwork while at school, a Wilbur High School student "became extremely upset and started yelling."
Wilbur ambulance assisted a man experiencing "extreme stomach pain" and a woman who needed a transport to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport for an antibiotic treatment for her hand.
Wednesday, March 12: Odessa ambulance personnel transported a 79-year-old man who was having trouble breathing to Odessa Memorial Hospital.
Wilbur ambulance personnel assisted a man who was unable to get up and out of his bathtub.
Sprague ambulance personnel transported a 27-year-old man who suffered a seizure from the I-90 Fishtrap exit to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.
A caller reported loud music - for the third night in a row - originating from a residence in the 300 block of Washington Street in Davenport.
Spokane Tribal authorities, including archaeologists, responded to a report that bones had been found in the Moccasin Bay area on either tribal or National Park Service land.
Deputies investigated a report that someone may be dumping waste into the creek in the vicinity of Ida Avenue East in Edwall.
Thursday, March 13: Deputies investigated claims of possible domestic violence after a woman told dispatchers she had been deliberately locked out of her Davenport residence.
An air ambulance was dispatched to the Davenport airport from Spokane after an 18-year-old woman was hit in the face with a softball.
Odessa Police secured two businesses on South Division and West 1st Avenue.
Friday, March 14: A Spokane patrol car in pursuit of a vehicle on SR 2 beginning at Deep Creek finally caught up with it at the Davenport airport. By that time, four patrol vehicles, including one from the Washington State Patrol, were involved.
A collision involving a vehicle and deer was reported on SR 2 near Rambo Road just west of Davenport.
A Davenport woman related that after providing a "Seabring Social Security" company her personal information, she was unable to contact it by phone and believes she may be a victim of fraud.
A 35-year-old man was arrested for eluding after leaving the scene of a traffic stop for reckless driving in east Davenport and forcing local deputies to pursue his vehicle to Rocklyn Road west of the city. At one point, his speed was clocked at about 85 miles per hour as he raced through the downtown corridor.
A vehicle stolen from a Pasco dealership was recovered near Lincoln Sand and Gravel west of Davenport on SR 2. This matter may be related to the pursuit incident just described.
A Davenport woman told dispatchers she believes her car had been driven or gasoline siphoned from it since she parked it in the vicinity of the 1300 block of Logan Street.
A woman was arrested on a malicious mischief charge after dispatchers took a report of an unwanted man refusing to leave a residence in the 100 block of South Elm in Reardan.
Wilbur Police encountered a young man who was discovered asleep in a corner of the post office.
Wilbur Police investigated a report of a stolen or repossessed vehicle in the 200 block of SE Milmont.
Reardan Police were involved in the possible kidnapping of a local woman who hadn't been seen in a couple of days.
Saturday, March 15: An altercation involving a man and woman was reported in the vicinity of Little Falls Road and SR 231 north of Reardan.
After hearing from the alleged victim's mother, deputies began an investigation of a claim that a teenaged girl had been raped in the spring of 2012 in the Sprague area.
A woman was arrested on a traffic offense after deputies responded to the 100 block of Main Street in Davenport to check out a domestic violence report.
A man was observed urinating in public near Trader's Express in Davenport.
A deputy intervened in a dispute over property between two men in the Wilbur area.
Davenport ambulance personnel assisted a resident of a Cottonwood Springs apartment who had the flu and was weak.
A Wilbur man told local police he had been chased twice by a dog in the 500 block of NW Armstrong.
Sunday, March 16: A deputy checked out a report that a woman was harassing people for money at the SR 2 Telford rest area.
A man, woman and two children survived after their boat capsized on Sprague Lake south of the Sprague Lake Resort. Emergency personnel from Sprague and Ritzville were involved in the response. The woman and children were taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. Windy conditions and whitecaps were observed.
A caller observed a pickup truck heading down a road in the Spring Canyon area that had been closed by the county Public Works department. A sign advising of the closure had been toppled by the wind.
Wilbur Police assisted a man experiencing chest pain.

Criminal Sentencing
Luke Anthony Ives, 30, of Ford, pleaded guilty March 11 to fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), amended through plea negotiations from first-degree assault with a deadly weapon or force. His sentence includes 64 days jail (credited as served), a prohibition against possessing firearms, no contact for two years with the 27-year-old woman he admitted he "pushed during an argument" on Jan. 1 in Wilbur, successful completion of anger management counseling, and payment of $700 court costs and attorney reimbursement to be determined. The original charge alleged he had threatened the victim with a knife, hit her and pulled her hair.
New Criminal Cases
Benjamin Lee Yow, 46, of Sprague, is charged with second-degree assault by strangulation (domestic violence) and 10 counts of second-degree unlawful possession of firearms in connection with an alleged altercation involving his 16-year-old son on March 7.
An arrest warrant was issued for Kermit Joaquin Sexton, 63, of Wilbur and/or St. Augustine, Fla., who is charged with two counts of intimidating Superior Court Judge John Strohmaier in connection with alleged death threats made on Jan. 8 and March 6 involving rulings in a marriage dissolution matter.
New Juvenile Offender Case
A 17-year-old Ritzville boy is charged with second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm in connection with a March 9 incident on property adjacent to Weber Road near Odessa during which he allegedly fired a pistol in the air after an argument with his parents.
Civil Judgments
Pinkys Market and More LLC, of Almira, must pay $1,354.72 in taxes owed to the Washington State Department of Revenue between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31 of last year.
A default judgment against Reardan residents Desiree M. and "John Doe" Cocklereece was issued March 7, instructing them to pay $2,003.49 to Barclays Bank Delaware and $340 court costs.
New Civil Case
James V. Adams, an inmate at Coyote Ridge Corrections Center near Connell, seeks "complete" fulfillment of a July 2011 public records request to the Spokane County Prosecutor's Office. He challenges the respondent's view that the requested documents were entirely released by Aug. 23, 2012, claiming that redacted and withheld portions should have been sent to him as he works on an appeal of a 2004 criminal conviction.
