Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
The Society was organized in 2013 by a group of concerned citizens who want to see Odessa’s Old Town Hall have a future in our community, while honoring our community’s past.
In our first year, with the town’s manpower, we tackled some immediate needs of the building, like plumbing issues and a leaky roof. We started a financial nest egg for improvements with the first annual rummage sale.
Safety for those using the building currently is of utmost importance, so our first major improvement goal is to restore the front and side door cement work for safe entry and exit of all. That being an ambitious and costly project, we hope for the second annual rummage sale to be very successful and increase awareness of our goals.
While long-term goals include renovation with historical integrity and modern efficiency, the short-term goals of stop-gap improvements and a much needed coat of paint are projects we hope to tackle in the coming months.
Nearly every adult in Odessa has some memory of the Old Town Hall. It was there for you, so will you be there for it?
