Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!

The very lucky winner of the pink and black quilt named "The Point is Hope" and raffled off to benefit Team Got Pink? was Barbara Greenwalt.
The blocks were made by Experience Quilts! October Block Lotto participants. For the block lotto, participants buy a kit to make one block for 50 cents, make the block and when they turn it in, their name is entered in a drawing. The winner receives all the blocks made.
For this quilt, blocks made were numerous, so two names were drawn, Joyce McClanahan of Odessa and Arletta Hoffman of Sprague. They donated their blocks to this fundraising effort so a big quilt could be made and auctioned off. The piecing and additional fabric was donated by McClanahan and the quilting was donated by Lise Ott.
The winning ticket was drawn on April 30 and Greenwalt was very surprised to get a call at 6 p.m. and be asked to come down to the quilt shop to have her picture taken. She says she is going to display the quilt on the wall.
Greenwalt says she has won 11 prizes since moving to Odessa about one year ago. She says she feels very blessed in her life and loves to give to the groups who ask her for donations.
