Monday, May 19: Davenport ambulance personnel transported a 73-year-old woman with flu-like symptoms from a residence in the 1100 block of Maxwell Street to Lincoln Hospital.

A door frame, bag of garbage and a license plate were part of an illegal dumping on posted property near Wagner Lake and Smith Prather roads in the Wilbur area.

A Wilbur woman reported the theft of two credit cards, possibly from the mail.

A truck and trailer went into the ditch along SR 2 near Sunset Highway west of Reardan after a near collision with a passenger vehicle that apparently had attempted to enter the roadway ahead of it.

Residents of the 1000 block of Sixth Street in Davenport reported someone wearing an orange safety vest was spraying in private yards. City Hall personnel noted that no one is sent from there to do that activity.

Seven juvenile boys were identified as suspects in connection with a shoplifting incident at the R Store in Reardan.

Tuesday, May 20: Deputies launched a search for a man and his 2-year-old son who were overdue from hiking in the Odessa area. They returned home shortly thereafter.

Deputies checked out a report that a young boy had been observed beating a cat against a rock in the Edwall area.

Reardan EMTs and Davenport ambulance personnel responded to a traffic collision on Little Falls Road at the dam. A woman was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.

Deputies responded to a report of a man with a spider web tattoo on his face traveling on a back road on property in the vicinity of SR 231 and Titchenal Road with two others.

Corrections deputies handled a report that a county jail inmate possibly urinated in another's coffee cup.

Wednesday, May 21: Inland Power and Light Co. crews were advised of an outage affecting residences on Ruffed Grouse Lane.

Dispatchers handled a call from someone claiming to be an out-of-work scientist being attacked by ghouls. When asked for his identification, the caller hung up.

Deputies responded to a report of two prowlers on foot on property near Crick Road North.

Odessa Police responded to a report that residents of the 500 block of South Alder Street had an excessive number of dogs and that sheep or goats were being kept illegally inside the town limits.

Thursday, May 22: A Sprague area man reported receiving an obscene phone call from a man with a Middle Eastern accent who made a sexual comment about his wife.

MedStar air ambulance assisted Wilbur Fire Department personnel with a 67-year-old man who suffered a possible heart attack and was non-responsive.

Deputies investigated a report of animal neglect involving four dogs in the 300 block of Washington Street in Davenport.

Friday, May 23: Deputies responded to an assault incident involving a juvenile. No other information was provided.

A Davenport man reported his pickup truck's door was left open and its contents ransacked as a result of a prowling incident in the 1000 block of Washington Street. About $100 also was taken from a wallet inside the vehicle.

A Grand Coulee man reported receiving harassing and threatening text messages.

A Reardan man reported excessive noise and music originating from a residence in the 300 block of North Laurel. A similar report from Davenport involved a vehicle parked in the 800 block of Sinclair Street.

Wilbur Police responded to a report that a woman was being harassed.

Saturday, May 24: Davenport ambulance personnel assisted an elderly woman who fell and couldn't get up.

A resident of the 700 block of Marshall Street in Davenport reported his lawn was continuously used by a dog as a bathroom.

Two vehicles were involved in a rear-end collision on SR 2 near Davenport. One of the drivers may have suffered a neck injury.

Deputies arrested three men in a vehicle they had difficulties stopping on SR 2 in the vicinity of Seven Mile Road for a speeding violation after the driver allegedly attempted to elude four pursuing officers. A passenger was taken into custody for making a false statement to an investigating deputy.

No one was hurt in a one-vehicle collision reported on Miles Creston Road East.

A caller advised that several youths were drinking and driving in the vicinity of Alice and Third streets in Harrington and that he saw a man urinating outside. A responding deputy reported that the party had settled down for the night.

A woman reported she may have left behind her purse at Edna's in Davenport after laying it on the ground while loading a child into a safety seat in the vehicle she drove. A responding deputy couldn't find it.

A deputy helped the driver of a U-Haul pickup and trailer to reattach them after they became disconnected while at Trader's Express in Davenport.

Wilbur Police confiscated an ice chest filled with alcohol from a pickup truck stopped on SR 2 in front of the McGregor's plant.

Reardan Police and firefighters handled a report of a large bonfire in the 300 block of North Cedar. Embers were reported blowing into a neighboring yard, forcing the resident to leave.

Sunday, May 25: A horse trailer high-centered on the Cree Road railroad crossing. Union Pacific stopped all trains until the vehicle was removed from the tracks.

Two reports of people shooting guns and disturbing nearby residents were received from the vicinity of Bald Ridge and Tamarack Canyon roads and Redwine Canyon Road North in the Creston area.

A deputy responded to a report of a dispute involving residents of Johns Rocky Way.
