Good morning! Thank you for attending the graduation ceremony for the class of 2014. We are the first class to spend all four years as a Titan and we are glad you are here.
Today is the start of a new beginning, a milestone or as Carley would say "a limestone" for all of us. It is also the end for many moments like class fights, winging speeches and trying to distract our teachers so we could get out of an assignment. Our class motto is "due tomorrow, do tomorrow," just kidding. It is "The future belongs to those who chase their dreams." Before we can start chasing our dreams we have a few thanks to give.
To our teachers: thank you for guiding us along the way and pushing us, so that we could experience this day. What you have taught us will follow us throughout the rest of our lives.
To our parents: thank you for supporting us from the day you walked us into our preschool class, until now. I am sure it has not been easy and we are forever grateful for all you have done.
To our coaches: you have taught us to try our hardest even when we were not the best players on the team; you have also taught us dedication and how to be responsible for our actions. The values you have given us will come in handy once we start out new journey.
To those who have been with us along the way and played a role in our lives- friends, family, teachers and coaches thank you. We will never forget what it is like growing up in a small town with so much support.
To my class: The future is in your hands, do the best you can with it. Do not let anyone stop you from achieving your dreams, especially yourself. We do not want to end up unmotivated and selling socks out of the trunk of a car. We are all capable of so much more.
Our experience at Odessa High School has shaped who we are and allowed us to grow. Thank you for coming and celebrating with the class of 2014 as we take our next step. Now it is time for us to chase our dreams.
