Workmen put the finishing touches on new concrete around the pool deck in Odessa earlier this spring.
Over the past nine years the Odessa Friends of the Pool have been working hard to support the Odessa Aquatic Recreation Center. The FOP was founded in 2005 by concerned moms who were willing to work with the town to keep the pools open through a budget crunch. The initial support of the community was so awesome that the FOP applied for and received their 501-c3 charitable organization status and decided to really go to work.
