Reading awards were recently given to the students of P.C. Jantz Elementary School. The students who received awards were chosen by their teachers.
Kindergarten award winners were: Most Improved Boy, Devin Nelson; Most Improved Girl, Elizabeth Rodriguez; Star Readers, Troy Hardung, Sophia Squire and Alyx Scheller.
First grade award winners were: Most Expressive, Carter Zigan; Most Improved Boy, Holden Iverson; Most Improved Girl, Reegan Carstensen; Bookworms, Tucker Walter and Mackenzie Lutz.
Second grade award winners were: Reader King, Tyesn Kuchenbuch; Reader Queen, Marisa Chavez; Princess, Meloney Deife; Prince, Zachary Claassen; and Dragon, Xavier Hicks.
Third grade winners were: Accelerated Reading King, Austin Iverson; Accelerated Reading Queen, Yvette Davey; Most Improved Boy, Jeramiah Hicks; and Most Improved Girl, Ella Caler.
Fourth grade winners were: Most Daring, Nathan Melcher; Most Improved Boy, Anthony Wiles; Most Improved Girl, Tianna Gies; Bookworms, Drew Hardung and Emily Scrupps; Accelerated Reading King, Nathan Carstensen; and Accelerated Reading Queen, Chloe Winkler.
All the winners received a book of their choice, supplied by Mrs. Wraspir, librarian, along with their reading certificates.
Jr. high award winners
Fifth grade reading award winners were: Kaden Haase, 100% and Maddie Scrupps, 96.7% on the Accelerated Reading test.
Sixth grade winners were: Ryan Moffet, 97.5% and Ireland Luiten, 96.7% on the Accelerated Reading Test.
Seventh grade winners were Kassidy Crossley and Daniel Nelson who each earned 100% on the Accelerated Reading test.
