Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
Have a vacation you would be willing to share with Odessa Record readers? The Record's Barbara Greenwalt, with husband Gerald, took a trip to Florida last winter and shared her thoughts and impressions with us.
Barbara and Gerald Greenwalt visited Miami, Florida for the purpose of attending NASCAR races and seeing the sights. To explore the city, they enjoy finding their way around with public transportation.
The trip started with a rented limo, which turned out to be the least expensive type of transportation when parking fees are taken into account. Although thoughts such as, "Will the limo be there when we get to the airport?" were somewhat nerve wracking, all turned out well.
Barbara used TripAdvisor, one of her favorite travel sites on the web. It gives recommendations based on travel experiences. The limo company, as American Idol says, was "spot on" and so was the hotel and its location.
They had a pretty good idea of where they would be staying, unless the Internet was wrong! Who knows? They found local public transportation only two blocks away, a grocery store three blocks away and the beach only 15 blocks away (they were extremely happy about the nearness of the beach).
