Monday, July 28: Harrington ambulance personnel transported a man from the 400 block of West Willis Street to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport for treatment of abdominal pain.
Responding to the 100 block of NE Dungan Street, deputies assisted with a 38-year-old Creston man who threatened to harm himself.
No reportable damage occurred when a vehicle backed into a pillar at Trader's Express in Davenport.
Medication was reported taken from a residence in the 400 block of Douglas Street in Harrington.
A caller advised dispatchers that someone apparently had lost consciousness due to heat while sitting in a vehicle parked near Logan and Seventh streets in Davenport.
McGregor's Inc. personnel dealt with an ammonia leak at the Davenport facility.
Tuesday, July 29: Burlington Northern responded to problems with railroad crossing arms at Adams and Fourth streets in Harrington.
Harrington ambulance personnel assisted a man in the 200 block of South First who experienced possible heart problems.
Almira firefighters extinguished a small fire in a ditch at 4649 Douglas Road East.
Davenport firefighters returned to the Rocklyn area to deal with a flare-up from the previous week's haystack fire.
Firefighters from Harrington and Odessa responded to a two-acre blaze along Duck Lake and Lamona roads.
A Harrington woman requested help with unwanted individuals inside a residence in the 200 block of West Main Street.
A deputy checked a residence in the 200 block of Willis Street in Harrington for compliance with marijuana regulations.
An Auburn, Wash., man reported receiving threats over the phone from a Creston area number.
None of the three occupants of a vehicle that collided with a deer near U.S. 2 and Seven Mile Road were injured.
Residents of the 500 block of South C Street in Sprague advised dispatchers of possible prowling activity over the past four to five months.
Odessa Police investigated a harassment incident in the 100 block of West 4th.
Wednesday, July 30: Sprague ambulance personnel assisted a 70-year-old woman who suffered a broken arm.
Electrical power was reported out in Reardan.
A railroad crossing arm was malfunctioning at Cloverdale Road near Edwall.
An air conditioning unit on the roof of the vacant Ernie's Tavern building in the 500 block of Morgan Street in Davenport was reportedly taken apart during a recent act of vandalism.
An air compressor and power washer were reported stolen from storage sheds on Bayview Court in Seven Bays.
A Teel Hill Road resident reported the theft of pearls valued at about $700 and several half dollar coins.
Residents of Paradise Lane in Lincoln reported excessive noise from drums and amps played "at random times all day and night" and a loose pit bull in the neighborhood.
A caller expressed concern about target shooting in the vicinity of Lake Valley Loop and Fishtrap roads.
Three or four juveniles are believed responsible for shooting fireworks in the vicinity of Larrabee Street in Edwall.
Reardan Police advised residents of the 100 block of South Green Street to extinguish a bonfire and stop shooting bottle rockets that appeared to be aimed at a dry grass field.
Thursday, July 31: Deputies investigated a possible animal abuse situation on property just outside the Wilbur town limits on County Road.
Davenport ambulance personnel transported a woman suffering neck pains and a head laceration after a fall outside the Subway restaurant to Lincoln Hospital for treatment.
Firefighters knocked down a blaze in the Mill Canyon area.
Deputies investigated a burglary/theft report involving a residence on Jurgenson Road East near Wilbur.
A caller reported that kids were shooting off bottle rockets near a Wilbur motel in the 700 block of SE Main.
A man was taken into custody by deputies responding to a domestic violence report from a Hawk Creek area residence. A woman received treatment at Lincoln Hospital.
A vehicle was reported stolen from the Willow Ridge area of northeast Davenport.
A Davenport man reported 120 gallons of gasoline were stolen from his truck over the past several months while parked in the 1200 block of Ninth Street.
A fire was spotted in a yard in the vicinity of Eighth and Adams streets in Davenport.
Graffiti was discovered in the Odessa city park.
Friday, Aug. 1: Sprague firefighters doused a fire in the I-90 median, caused by a vehicle malfunction.
A loaded grain truck was involved in a rollover collision at the intersection of Alderson and Sheffels roads.
A rollover collision took place at the top of Smeltzer Grade Road north of Reardan with no injuries reported.
Deputies investigated a possible child neglect matter in the Creston area.
A deputy responded to an apartment on Ross Street in Davenport where a man had expressed suicidal sentiments.
Two of three missing items were recovered by a deputy who responded to a theft report in the 300 block of East 1st Street in Sprague.
A caller reported that a boy on a skateboard was in front of a pickup truck traveling south from Sprague on SR 23.
A worker at the Hwy Café in Reardan told police she locked her keys inside the restaurant and couldn't get back inside or into her vehicle.
Saturday, Aug. 2: Eastern Washington Gateway Railroad personnel responded to a report of malfunctioning crossing arms on Third Street in Almira.
Wilbur ambulance and fire personnel assisted with the aftermath of a collision involving a 28-foot travel trailer and pickup truck on SR 174. No injuries were reported.
A caller expressed concern about a beach fire between Cayuse Cove and Moccasin Bay.
A highly intoxicated intruder wearing jean shorts and no shirt was persuaded by a resident with a shotgun to leave the house in the 100 block of NW Alder Street in Wilbur.
Avista Utilities personnel handled a down power line at the intersection of Fifth and Main streets in Davenport.
County Public Works and Inland Power and Light personnel removed a tree that fell across Miles Creston Road about two miles north of Deer Meadows. Trees also blew over on Porcupine Bay Road near SR 25, with some landing on electrical lines, and on Moore, Smeltzer and Fisher roads north of Reardan. A power pole snapped at Fisher and Moore roads and multiple lines were reported hanging within five feet of the ground across the roadway.
Firefighters responded to a structure fire at a residence on SR 231 in the Reardan area and to an Avista Utilities pole on fire at Little Falls Road and SR 231.
A large hay bale blew into the roadway on SR 28 south of Davenport.
Sunday, Aug. 3: Responding to a residential burglary report from Hawk Creek Ranch Road, deputies conducted a brief search for suspects and detained two men and a woman. The two men were held at gunpoint for a time.
Shots were reported in the vicinity of Fort Spokane Store on SR 25.
Deputies responded to a report of a man harassing customers and store personnel at Trader's Express in Davenport.
A caller told dispatchers he saw a woman drinking whiskey while driving in the vicinity of Seventh and Jefferson streets in Davenport. A responding deputy was unable to locate the vehicle.
A verbal dispute between Deer Meadows residents concluded with one yelling while riding a dirt bike around a house on Quail Run Road North.
Responding to the 400 block of West Glover in Harrington, deputies located a missing 14-year-old boy who had made threats to harm himself.
Odessa Police checked out a caller's report that a lot of vehicles were driving on Lauer Road south of town, described as "extremely unusual."
Reardan Police responded to a reported assault involving two men in the 300 block of North Birch.

Criminal Sentencing
Keith Joseph Claassen, 41, Airway Heights, entered an Alford plea July 29 to third-degree theft, amended through plea negotiations from possession of a stolen vehicle. His sentence included 364 days jail with 358 deferred and the remainder credited as time served, and payment of $700 court costs and $1,400 restitution to his mother, Karren Claassen of Central Point, Ore. The case involved the recovery of a stolen sedan owned by Mrs. Claassen during a Jan. 4 traffic stop on Devils Gap Road north of Reardan.
Civil Judgments
Capital One Bank won a July 22 default judgment of $2,134.29 plus 12 percent interest against Mary P. Pollard, of Davenport, in a matter involving monies owed on a credit account.
Determining insufficient evidence for domestic violence, the court on July 23 denied requests by Charity Ann Spangler and Dennis Ray Reed for protection orders against Jake Goolie.
Probate
Lincoln Hospital initiated a guardianship matter on behalf of an 83-year-old Reardan woman currently residing in the hospital and allegedly incapacitated, claiming her 62-year-old son, who has power of attorney, failed to pay her financial obligations. The county prosecutor filed a theft charge against the man in June, alleging he misappropriated more than $49,343 intended for those medical expenses.
