The descendants of early Marlin-area farmers Jacob and Eva Kallenberger gathered at the Old Town hall and Reiman Park in Odessa, with relatives arriving from many areas.
Those attending from the Phil and Nettie (Kallenberger) Pfeifer family were Myrna Bischoff of Harrington; Bob and Lorene Arbuckle of Ephrata; Howard and Claudia Pfeifer of Wilson Creek; Loren, Sharon and Marty Pfeifer, Lois Starkel and Jean Starkel all of Odessa; Ronald Pfeifer of Randal, Wash. and Jerry and Lacy Trumble, Alex and Emma of Moses Lake.
The families of Gus and Emma (Kallenberger) Zimbelman were Bob and Marla Svoboda of Hoquaim. From Spokane came Rhea Strate, Ceddio and Bev Barela with daughters Muriah and Te'a Powers, Geoff and Robyn, son Tyler and daughter Jordan Norwood and granddaughter Alayna and Tom and Becky Lucas. Sandy and Andrew Libsack, Jim Smith, Barbara Schlimmer, and Bob and Herb Zimbelman of Odessa also attended.
From McMinnville, Tenn., Rodney Schlimmer came with his daughter June Ellen and Jimmy Blanks and son Dean of Tullahoma, Tenn. Debbie Zeiler, Lori Carpenter, Brandie Engel of Moses Lake also came. Tim and Pam Zeiler and their children Alex and Sydney of Davenport attended, as did Joan Zimbelman of Almira and Don and Jodi Zimbelman of Ephrata.
Those attending of the Gus and Ida (Kallenberger) Schorzman family were Marlene Kramer and Delores and Delbert Cook of Odessa, Frank and Dee Michaeliszyn and Marianne Boyd of Wenatachee.
The Otto Kallenberger family members from Wilbur were Dale and Joann Portch, Tracie and Wade Starzman, as well as Tyler Portch with Tammy, Ben and Jordan of Spokane Valley.
Bunny Haugen of Harrington represented the Henry Kallenberger family.
Attending from Sandy, Ore., were Craig and Kathy Shinn of the Harold and Clare (Kallenberger) Cox family.
From Havre, Mont., the Ray Kallenberger family members present were Larry and Judy Kinsella and daughter Crystal, Linda Cox and Gail Solomon.
Two days of food, fun, laughter and visiting were enjoyed by all, despite the high temperature and stormy weather.
