Ray (Bud) Pfeifer passed away October 3, 2014, in Ellensburg, formerly of the Soap Lake and Marlin areas. He is survived by his two children Marilyn (Michael) Santangelo and Lyle (Marlene) Pfeifer along with his six grandchildren: Joe (Casey) Giovanelli, Maggie Santangelo and Mitchell, Matthew, Brian and Kaitlin Pfeifer. Ray has four brothers Cecil, Dale, Loren and Keith Pfeifer, along with three sisters, Lois Starkel, Lorene Arbuckle and Donna Rainey, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ray is preceded in death by his wife Betty in 2002, brother Howard and three sisters, Lenora Wraspir, Gladys Nelson and Iva Thrall.
He was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Marlin and a former Ephrata Elks member. Ray worked on the family wheat farm and later became co-owner of Pfeifer Farms with his brother Dale.
Bud will be missed by all who knew him. He was a gentle soul and a really funny guy.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at the Zion-Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Odessa, on Friday, October 10, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Squire officiating.
