Titans outscore Wellpinit in afternoon away game

At Wellpinit last Friday, the O-H Titans trounced the opposition by a score of 66-28.

Wellpinit scored first and followed up with a two-point conversion to lead 8-0. After that, the Titans rattled off 52 unanswered points until the opposition finally scored again in the third quarter.

Sam Schafer scored on runs from 55 yards (run attempt for two failed), 15 yards (with Schafer running for two more) and 10 yards (Carsen Weber running for the two-point conversion).

Sage Elder then scored on a 15-yard pass from Weber, and the two connected again for the two-point conversion.

Schafer ran the ball again for 30-yard (Weber ran for two) and 4-yard (Schafer ran for two)touchdowns.

Weber scored on a 17-yard run but the extra-point attempt failed.

Garrison Schmierer scored on a 10-yard run, with the extra-point attempt stopped by Wellpinit.

Chance Messer scored on a 30-yard pass play from Colton Hunt, and Weber ran for two more.

On offense Schafer gained 291 yards rushing on 17 carries, with 5 touchdowns; S. Elder gained 72 yards rushing on 8 carries, had 3 receptions for 35 yards and 2 touchdowns; Messer had one reception for 42 yards and a TD; DeWulf had 5 receptions for 36 yards and a TD; Weber gained 46 yards rushing on 3 carries and completed 8 of 12 passes for 75 passing yards.

Defensively, Schafer had 9 tackles; Weber 13 tackles and one fumble recovery; Schmierer 5 tackles; Elder 14 tackles and one fumble recovery; DeWulf 4 tackles; Caleb Behrens 6 tackles and Dakota Largent 5 tackles.
