Producer meetings scheduled for farm bill, Hartline/ Ephrata

Staff of the Grant County Farm Service Agency will be conducting two informational meetings on the new federal farm programs being offered under the 2014 Farm Bill.

Both meetings will be held on Wednesday, November 5. The first meeting will be at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Patrick's Hall located in Hartline. The second meeting will be held at approximately 1:30 p.m. at the Grant County Public Works facility in Ephrata.

Both meetings will focus on providing attendees with updated information on crop base re-allocation and yield update options, Price Loss Coverage (PLC), and Agriculture Risk Coverage options. It is also anticipated that a representative from the WSU Extension Office will be present to provide information on the proper usage of the new web based tools available to producers for helping to make important program enrollment decisions.
