The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.
Monday, Nov. 3: A deputy responded to the 100 block of Washington Street in Davenport after receiving a report that someone had threatened to “break the face” of a female resident.
Deputies investigated the theft of a speed limit sign in the vicinity of White and Old Coulee roads.
A resident of the 800 block of Marshall Street in Davenport told dispatchers that someone urinated in a parked vehicle and that a tire had been slashed with a knife. This and another tire slashing incident in the 800 block of Merriam Street were added to several reports throughout Davenport from the previous week.
A Davenport woman reported harassing Facebook messages had been sent to her school-age daughter.
Davenport emergency personnel tended to a 33-year-old man who was described as “unresponsive” while at Davenport Family Foods.
Reardan Police assisted in a marijuana possession incident involving a Reardan High School student.
Tuesday, Nov. 4: Scrap metal and radiators were reported stolen from property in the 19500 block of Boyk Road North.
A deputy responded to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport after receiving word that emergency room personnel there were treating a possible victim of sexual assault.
A resident of the 700 block of Marshall Street in Davenport told dispatchers that high school students continually drive from the school at high speeds after being released for the afternoon.
A caller advised that Burlington Northern Santa Fe trains continually block SR 231 in Edwall for periods of about 45 minutes every day.
An apartment resident in the 700 block of Morgan Street in Davenport reported that someone over the past two nights had been knocking on the unit’s exterior doors but doesn’t stick around.
Wednesday, Nov. 5: An inmate housed in the county jail under contract with the state Department of Corrections was described as possibly under the influence of methamphetamine, extremely agitated and arguing with and threatening staff and other inmates.
Two tires were reported slashed on a vehicle parked in the 900 block of Morgan Street in Davenport.
A deputy responded to a report of loud yelling and cussing involving up to three residents in the 1100 block of Jefferson Street in Davenport.
The owner of property near Watson and Blenz roads reported damage in a stubble field from a vehicle that was driven around in circles at high speeds and at one point may have gotten stuck.
A woman reported a harassing Facebook message she had been sent.
Responding to a report from the 100 block of SE Railroad in Creston that a screen door had been ripped off a residence, a deputy found no signs of anything missing or anyone at the scene.
Dispatchers were told of possible drug activity in the 100 block of East 5th in Sprague.
A deputy responded to a harassment incident in the 1100 block of Jefferson Street in Davenport.
A woman suffering from an uncontrollable nosebleed was transported by ambulance from Ninth and Morgan streets to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport.
A caller reported seeing possible poaching activity along SR 28 near the Lincoln and Grant county line. Three pickup trucks were observed, with spotlighting reported from one.
Thursday, Nov. 6: Damage to crops and property near grain bins on a Sprague man’s property adjacent to SR 23 was reported after a vehicle threw gravel while traveling at high speeds.
Four reports of vehicle prowling originated from the 100 and 200 blocks of Fifth, 400 block of Douglas and 400 block of Sherlock in Harrington. One owner said someone got into his pickup truck and left a glove box open; nothing was reported taken.
A deputy helped an elderly man who had accidentally locked himself out of his house in the 200 block of Washington Street in Davenport.
A teenager was observed going from car to car, checking doors, in the Davenport Safeway parking lot.
The owners of an aggressive dog reported in the 800 block of Adams Street in Davenport promised a deputy that the animal would be out of the city limits by the next day. But a deputy’s response to an unrelated incident two days later revealed the dog was still there, making the owner eligible for a dog-at-large citation.
Mail theft was reported along Devils Gap Road north of Reardan.
Friday, Nov. 7: The victim of what was determined to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound was transported from a residence on East Fisher Road north of Reardan to a Spokane hospital for treatment.
Tires were slashed on two construction vehicles parked in the 1000 block of Morgan Street in Davenport.
A dog running loose in Creston was struck by a vehicle.
Deputies responding to reports of a bonfire and weapons being fired in the vicinity of Crescent Road north of Reardan determined the activity of those involved was legal and safe.
Odessa Police investigated the theft of two grocery carts from the 10 block of East 5th Street.
Odessa Police responded to a report of a sexual assault within the town limits.
Saturday, Nov. 8: Residents of the 500 block of Maxwell Street in Davenport were advised by a deputy to move their otherwise legal yard fire further away from the house for greater safety.
Deputies helped in a search for a missing Odessa area woman who hadn’t returned home from a shopping trip to Moses Lake.
Dispatchers suggested that a woman’s reluctance to speak with them after she had become “stranded” at Sprague’s Emergency Response Center could be explained that she was wanted for theft in Adams County. After her vehicle had become disabled on I-90, a Washington State Patrol trooper drove her to the ERC at about 3 that morning.
A Davenport resident expressed concern about people “parking everywhere” in the 1000 block of Sixth Street, even blocking a crosswalk.
A car alarm continuously went off on Main Street between Eleventh and Twelfth streets in Davenport.
A resident of the 1200 block of Eighth Street in Davenport expressed concern about an unattended campfire on neighboring property.
Wilbur Police searched for a suspect after a knife was allegedly pulled on a patron at the Alibi Tavern.
Odessa Police responded to a report of “excessive noise” from a house in the 300 block of South Alder.
Odessa Police intervened in a verbal dispute between residents in the 400 block of East 3rd Avenue.
Sunday, Nov. 9: Deputies responded to reports of a domestic dispute in the 900 block of Nicholls Street in Davenport. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the incident.

Criminal Sentencings
Harry David Lashbrook, 51, pleaded guilty Nov. 4 to second-degree theft and second-degree possession of stolen property (amended through plea negotiations from two counts of second-degree burglary, first-degree theft and first-degree malicious mischief). His sentence includes four months jail (61 days credited as served), $4,000 restitution, $800 court costs and unspecified attorney fees, and a no-contact order protecting the owner of property adjacent to Bald Ridge Road, from which multiple tools, a tractor radiator and wire were reported stolen on June 23 and 24. He was one of four men charged in connection with the incidents.
Donald James Bodeau, 47, of Wilbur and/or Almira, pleaded guilty Nov. 4 to second- and third-degree theft and two counts of third-degree possession of stolen property in connection with incidents on July 31 and Sept. 7 involving property in the Wilbur and Almira areas, respectively. The charges were amended through plea negotiations from second-degree burglary, third-degree theft, second-degree possession of stolen property, residential burglary and second-degree theft. His sentence includes 33 days jail (credited as served), restitution to the property owners to be determined, a $5,000 fine (suspended), $1,500 court costs and unspecified attorney fees, and a no-contact order to protect the affected property owners.
Aspen Cheyenne Hengst, 24, Moses Lake, pleaded guilty Oct. 29 to third-degree malicious mischief (amended through plea negotiations from second-degree criminal trespass and first-degree malicious mischief) in connection with an April 6 incident at property owned by Ritzville Warehouse Co. near the intersection of SR 28 and Kupers Road south of Harrington. Her sentence includes payment of $2,500 restitution to the property owner, $700 court costs and unspecified attorney fees. A term of 364 days in jail was deferred.
In exchange for her Oct. 27 guilty plea to possession of a stolen vehicle (reported in last week’s newspaper), a controlled substances violation charge against Brieanna Sharlene Dahlenburg, 28, Almira, was dismissed.

Pinkys Market and More LLC, of Almira, must pay $549.28 in unmet worker’s compensation taxes to the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries.
