HOHS elects officers
Lance and Britney Wagner with son, Grant Robert. A baby boy was born to Lance and Britney Wagner of Harrington on Nov. 4. His name is Grant Robert, and he weighed six pounds, 11 ounces and was 19 inches long. His maternal grandparents are Lee and the late Deb Praetorius and his paternal grandparents are Ken Wagner and Colleen Wagner.
In the Art Room at 7 p.m. December 1 the Harrington Opera House Society met for its annual meeting and election of officers. The election committee, Bunny Haugan and Billie Herron, submitted the names of the present officers as the ballot for this election and allowed the group to add names for consideration. With no additions, the ballot was voted as unanimous acceptance with President Mark Stedman, Vice-President Carol, Secretary Linda Wagner, Co-Treasurers Ed Haugan and Sheryl Stedman, Historian Bunny Haugan, and Building Engineer Gordon Herron.
Following the election, Dillon Haas raised questions and suggestions regarding the by-laws of the organization. He was asked to write out and present the items for discussion at the next meeting.
Other topics of discussion included a summary of the society's activities in 2014 and a listing of their events during the last year which included two weddings, the quilt show, Grand Interlude, Crazy Cowgirls, Needhams, a Political Forum, Tours, Tayla Lynn and Eric Tingstad, Student Piano Recital, the 4-H Teen Rally and Santa's visit. Some discussion was held of proposed activities for the coming year.
