The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.
Monday, Dec. 1: A one-vehicle rollover collision was reported on I-90 near Sprague.
Deputies responded to a report of an assault involving two men and a woman at a residence on Mill Canyon Road north of Davenport.
Odessa Police responded to a report that a man had been punched in the face by a family member in the 300 block of Division Street.
Tuesday, Dec. 2: A caller reported an obscene expression was placed using either paint or antifreeze on a walkway in the 1100 block of Eighth Street in Davenport.
Wilbur Police investigated the theft of a motor vehicle from the 100 block of NW West Street. A suspect was apprehended in Electric City.
Reardan Police investigated a young girl’s report that she had been asked to provide nude photos of herself to a teenage boy.
Wednesday, Dec. 3: Corrections officers dealt with disputes between inmates housed in the county jail.
A Davenport caller reported that a man outside the window of a home in the 1000 block of Adams Street had been looking inside.
A Davenport man said someone had offered him several tools if he purchased an air compressor he had in a truck parked in the 300 block of Merriam Street.
A Mondovi Road area resident reported a suspicious vehicle parked at the entrance to a shop building.
Thursday, Dec. 4: Icy conditions were reported on SR 21 south of Odessa. Elsewhere, schools in Davenport and Reardan started classes two hours late due to wintry weather.
EMTs from Reardan and Davenport assisted two individuals with medical emergencies.
Harrington firefighters responded to a report of a small furnace fire at the local McGregor’s.
Deputies investigated a claim of theft of $64.80 in services from the City of Harrington.
Deputies responded to Lincoln Hospital, where a man was reportedly abusive toward staff and was causing disturbances.
A “highly intoxicated” man who wasn’t dressed for the weather was spotted in a ditch about a mile west of Telford rest area on U.S. 2 west of Davenport.
A man was taken into custody by deputies who had responded to a trespassing complaint at a location along SR 21 south of Odessa.
A man was arrested by deputies who responded to a Wilbur motel operator’s report that he had driven away on U.S. 2 after being refused a room because of intoxication and not having a credit card.
Friday, Dec. 5: Icy conditions delayed the start of school in Odessa for two hours and canceled classes completely in Sprague.
A county jail inmate reportedly took off his clothes, crawled around naked and made obscene gestures in his cell.
Connecting with a driver who happened to stop, occupants of a disabled vehicle on SR 174 near Wilbur noted they’d had no working cell phone and had been stranded for about six hours without anyone else stopping.
Deputies investigated the possible theft of money from a Davenport woman.
A TV, medication and other items were reported stolen from a residence at Eighth and Marshall streets in Davenport.
An open door and a missing picture were reported at a residence in the Bluestem area.
Saturday, Dec. 6: “Extremely icy” conditions were reported on portions of Green Canyon and Mill Canyon roads north of Davenport.
Deputies responded to a residence on Bull Run Road north of Reardan, where a man and woman in the middle of divorce proceedings were engaged in a dispute.
A woman suffered a head injury as a result of a one-vehicle rollover on Waukon Road about two miles south of U.S. 2 east of Reardan.
An Almira man was placed into custody by deputies who responded to a report of an intoxicated man with a weapon making threats against himself and found evidence that a firearm had been discharged inside the residence in the 200 block of North 6th Street.
Odessa Police secured doors at three 1st Street businesses.
Sunday, Dec. 7: A caller told dispatchers he had been falsely accused of stealing a bottle of whiskey from a residence in the vicinity of Earl and Seven Springs Dairy roads.
Dispatchers were advised that two men residing in the Hawk Creek Ranch Road area had gotten into a verbal dispute.
A caller expressed concern that a car had been casing the neighborhood behind the 500 block of Washington Street in Davenport.
Three propane tanks and batteries for a travel trailer were reported stolen from property in the 35000 block of Crescent Road North in the Reardan area.

New Criminal Cases
Daggon Devoy Andrew Chaska, 22, of Wenatchee, and Jesus Alberto Castaneda, 20, of Omak, are charged with second-degree burglary in connection with activity inside a building at the Wilbur Cemetery on Nov. 24. The door to the building was damaged and deputies believe gasoline was siphoned from a vehicle inside.
Jason D. Mumie, 30, of West Hazelton, Pa., is charged with second-degree theft in connection with the taking and use of a debit card on May 16 at the Grand Coulee Safeway store and at least one other location, resulting in the loss of $866 to the card owner, a Spring Canyon area resident.

Jeffrey Lynn Shaver, Harrington, cyberstalking (5 counts) and communication with a minor for immoral purposes, all dismissed with the prosecuting attorney retaining the right to re-file at a later time. “The State has requested further investigation by the Sheriff’s Office to obtain evidence tracing the computer-generated messages at issue to (Shaver),” the court record noted. “Additional time is necessary in the event that such evidence may require forensic examination of (Shaver’s) computer. (Shaver) claims someone else is responsible for impersonating him as the sender of the messages. The evidence currently available identifying him may not be sufficient to convict beyond a reasonable doubt.” Shaver pleaded guilty to driving while license suspended and must pay $693 in court assessments and complete 12 months supervised and 12 months unsupervised probation.
Laurence Jay Libsack, Odessa, driving under the influence, pleaded guilty, 34 days jail (13 credited as served, four converted from electronic home monitoring), $2,165.46 court assessments, ignition interlock, 36 months supervised and 24 months unsupervised probation, chemical dependency evaluation and treatment, no possession or use of alcohol, marijuana or illegal drugs (monitored), DUI victims’ panel.
Erik Edward Sackett, Davenport, driving under the influence, amended at prosecutor’s request to first-degree negligent driving, pleaded guilty, 1 day jail (credited as served), $1,156.20 court assessments, 12 months supervised and 12 months unsupervised probation, chemical dependency evaluation and treatment, no possession or use of alcohol, marijuana or illegal drugs (monitored).
Danyelle Rae Wheeler, Davenport, driving while license suspended (2 counts), both dismissed at prosecutor’s request.
Gina Marie Schlomer, Odessa, speeding (5 mph over limit), contested, found committed, fined $73.
Ryan Duane Brigman, Wellpinit, DWLS, pleaded guilty, $543, 12 months supervised and 12 months unsupervised probation; first-degree negligent driving and reckless endangerment, both dismissed at prosecutor’s request.
