Bloomsday's early entrants can win an Ipad 3 mini

here are four months until the 39th annual Lilac Bloomsday Run, and to help fortify New Year’s resolutions to get in shape, early bird registration for Bloomsday is now open at http://www.bloomsdayrun.org. Those who sign up by February 8 will have a chance to win one of three Apple iPad mini 3 tablets courtesy of Strong Solutions, an Apple Authorized Reseller and Service Provider at 1718 E Sprague Ave.

“Although it is cold and a bit daunting to venture outside at times, the days are getting longer and in a little more than a month’s time the first buttercups will rise, as will the legions of normal folk like you and me getting ready for the challenge and thrill of Bloomsday,” says Lilac Bloomsday Association President Steven Jones. “Use your early Bloomsday registration to provide the incentive to get up and move toward a fitter you in 2015. Sign up now and get ready to join 50,000 of your friends and neighbors in our annual moving celebration of life and community. Of course, winning one of three Apple iPad mini 3 tablets would be pretty awesome too.”

Everyone who enters Bloomsday online through February 8 will be automatically entered in the iPad mini drawing. The iPad mini has the Touch ID fingerprint sensor, a 7.9-inch retina display, a powerful A7 chip with 64-bit architecture, an iSight camera, a FaceTime HD camera, fast wireless, iOS 8, iCloud, and up to 10 hours of battery life.

Those signing up for Bloomsday will also have the opportunity to add a donation to the HOPE School, which has been selected as Bloomsday’s official charity for 2015. The Spokane HOPE School is an early learning program for children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Participants who add a donation to their Bloomsday entry will help the HOPE School continue its toddler program, preschool and parent support efforts to prepare children with hearing loss to listen and speak with their family, peers and society in general so they may succeed in school and life.

“Bloomsday welcomes the HOPE School as our official charity in 2014,” says Jones. “The work HOPE School does with those many among us who suffer from hearing loss is vital to that segment of our community. We “hope” that Bloomsday entrants join with us in recognizing this important work by providing a donation along with their entries.”

Bloomsday ’15 will be Sunday, May 3, 2015. Full details of the 39th annual event will be released in early March, at which time printed entry forms will be available at locations throughout the Inland Northwest.
