Titan girls lose two, second game by one in overtime

The December 30 game against Liberty was played at Liberty High School and was difficult one for the Titan girls. They lost 69-53 but nevertheless put forth a valiant effort.

Lanessa Simon was the leading scorer with 17 points. She also had 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 9 steals. Katie DeWulf followed with 10 points and 6 rebounds. Casey Schlomer was right behind DeWulf with 9 points, 2 rebounds and 1 steal. Paige Alloway had 5 points, with 1 rebound and 1 assist. Shelbey Watkins also had 5 points, and added 1 rebound, 2 assists and 3 steals. Zoe Clark scored 4 points and contributed 2 rebounds. Jordyn Tanke scored 2 points and had 1 rebound, 3 assists and 1 steal. Maleah Davison scored 1 point.

The Titan girls lost to Wilbur-Creston Saturday, January 3, in Moses Lake by only one point in overtime. It was a heartbreaker of a defeat, as Simon once again scored 17 points, and Katie DeWulf followed with 12 points.

Simon added 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 8 steals to her totals, and DeWulf added 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals. Alloway scored 7 points, with 1 rebound, 2 assists and 1 steal. Schlomer had 4 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Clark had 2 points, as did Watkins who also added 2 rebounds. Tanke also had 2 points, plus contributing 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.
