Titan girls win two of three games played last week

St. John-Endicott

The January 6 game against St. John-Endicott was played in Harrington and represented another squeaker of a one-point loss. The final score was O-H 43 and SJE 44.

After being down by 11 points at the hald, the Titans came out with a much stronger second half. Unfortunately, it was too little, too late, and the girls picked up their second one-point loss in a week.

Lanessa Simon led the Titans with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Casey Schlomer had 11 points, 6 rebounds and 1 steal. Katie DeWulf had 9 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Shelbey Watkins scored 3 points, and had 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Jordyn Tanke had 2 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Paige Alloway also had 2 points, along with 2 assists and 3 steals. Zoe Clark had 1 point and 2 rebounds.

The girls had a cold night shooting, hitting only 30 percent of their shot attempts.

Northport

Against Northport last week Friday, the Titan girls had little trouble getting and keeping the lead on their way to a 77-41 victory.

Shelbey Watkins led the Titan offense with 16 points. She also had 4 rebounds, 1 blocked shot, 4 assists and 4 steals. Paige Alloway was the second-highest Titan scorer with 13 points.

Simon contributed 11 points, along with 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 8 steals.

Tanke and Davison had 9 each, with Tanke adding 4 rebounds, 7 assists and 9 steals and Davison adding 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.

DeWulf had 7 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Schlomer had 6 points, Amber Smith 4 points and Clark 2 points.

Curlew

Against Curlew in Harrington last Saturday, the Titan girls dominated in the first half, then held on to a slim lead after a third quarter surge by Curlew.

Tanke paced the Titans with 11 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals. Schlomer and Watkins had 9 points each, with Schlomer contributing 7 rebounds and 2 steals and Watkins 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals.

DeWulf and Simon scored 8 points each, with DeWulf also getting 3 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Simon 2 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals.

Clark scored 5 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Davison and Alloway scored 3 points each, with Alloway also contributing 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 steal.
