USDA inspector to give talk on food safety at library

The Odessa Public Library is hosting a brief presentation by Richard Molsbee, Odessa’s USDA Food Safety Inspector, on Saturday, February 21 at 4 p.m. Richard is the inspector for the local meat processing plant and for Voise Sausage.

As a consumer safety inspector, Molsbee will give a short talk on the basic safety elements of handling food and meat safely in home meal preparation. A question and answer period will follow the presentation and informative handouts will also be provided.

This session should not be confused with a food handler’s course, but will be of interest to those who prepare meals for their consumption or for special occasions where food preparation is required.

The public is welcome to attend.
