Council covers street signs, Avista projects, cemetery
Harrington City Council met Wednesday evening at city hall. Paul Gilliland, Rick Becker, Mike Cronrath, Levi Schenk, Scott McGowan, Bunny Haugan, Sharon Schultz, Paul Charlton, Justin Slack and Marge Womach were in attendance.
A question was raised regarding the missing street and speed signs and McGowan reported that the city has the signs, but they have not been put up. The bill was received for the repairs to the city street sweeper which was just over $4,929.
The Mayor informed the council of Avista proposed projects that will take approximately three months and will include replacing poles and work at the substation.
The City Clerk informed the council of a sizable donation to the Cemetery Maintenance Fund which will allow the council to make decisions on projects and equipment for the cemetery this summer season.
Mark Stedman informed the Mayor of some water leakage upstairs over city hall near the hatch which was patched and mention was made of the old emergency door exit and a need to replace the old wooden ladder. Bills were approved and the meeting was adjourned.
