The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.
Monday, Feb. 16: Searching the Tamarack Canyon Road area, a deputy was unable to locate a man described by a caller as “wearing a blue hoodie and jeans, carrying a duffel bag and sitting on the north side of the road about two miles up the canyon.”
LincolnHospital personnel went into action on their stroke protocol after a 92-year-old Seven Bays man was found on the floor inside a residence on East Airport Loop.
Tuesday, Feb. 17: A Wilbur woman reported damage to her vehicle after striking two cinder blocks placed on Curlew Road and appearing to have been freshly painted in black. The vehicle’s tires were flattened and damage occurred to the front grill.
A Davenport man reported possible tampering with a door lock in the 1300 block of Logan Street.
A Davenport man told dispatchers that someone is using his Social Security number without his permission.
A broken mirror resulted from a vehicle collision in the LincolnHospital parking lot in Davenport.
A stray dog entered the Davenport Safeway store and was later retrieved by its owner.
Odessa Police responded to a verbal dispute involving occupants of a residence in the 200 block of West 2nd Avenue.
Wednesday, Feb. 18: A deputy determined that a dog and cat in the Sprague area “appeared in fine shape,” despite a caller’s concern that they were not being adequately cared for.
A deputy advised operators of two motor bikes observed speeding on Fourteenth Street in Davenport to push their machines to nearby fields where they had permission to ride.
Corrections officers searched the county jail after learning of the possible presence of contraband narcotics there.
A Wilbur man told dispatchers that someone filed for a tax refund under his name.
Thursday, Feb. 19: Odessa ambulance personnel assisted an 86-year-old woman with breathing difficulties.
A heating/air conditioning unit behind the Davenport Safeway store was blamed for smoke originating from there.
Deputies were unable to locate the source of heavy smoke in the Davenport area.
A large number of pigs were reported in the roadway on U.S. 2 near the Telford rest area.
A caller reported someone was selling meat door-to-door in Davenport without a permit.
Three teenage Davenport boys escaped unharmed after the vehicle in which they were riding rolled onto its top on Hawk Creek Road about a half mile from Miles Creston Road. County Public Works personnel repaired damage to the side of the roadway.
While authorities launched an investigation to determine whether child abuse had occurred, Lincoln Hospital personnel transferred a 3-month-old boy who had suffered a broken femur to a Spokane facility.
Reardan Police and emergency personnel from Reardan and Davenport responded to the 500 block of Lake Street where a woman was reported to have been assaulted. Two other women were arrested in connection with the incident.
Friday, Feb. 20: Responding to the Corner Café, Creston ambulance personnel assisted a man with possible heart problems. Their counterparts in Davenport were at a residence in the 1100 block of Adams Street helping a 48-year-old woman having trouble breathing.
A woman who was traveling through Odessa told dispatchers someone had placed something in her car and threatened to harm her family. Determining this was a possible mental health issue, emergency personnel took her to the local hospital and contacted her mother.
Dispatchers took a report of loose, possibly aggressive dogs in the vicinity of Creston Avenue in Creston.
A caller claimed pigs from a neighboring property were chasing horses through fences on land adjacent to Telford Road.
Responding to the 1000 block of Thirteenth Street, Davenport ambulance personnel assisted a 94-year-old woman experiencing breathing difficulties.
A deputy deffused a situation in Harrington that began when a resident communicated concern about kids playing in the street with a ball and received what he described as an angry response from one of the parents.
Saturday, Feb. 21: A Harrington woman reported receiving harassing phone calls.
A deputy’s escort was requested as an ambulance transported a 19-year-old woman described as “out of control” from OdessaMemorialHospital to another facility in Spokane.
A caller reported that a pop machine outside Harrington Foods appeared to have been tampered with.
A caller reported that a semi-truck broke a railroad crossing arm in the vicinity of Birch Street in Odessa about a block west of SR 21.
Sunday, Feb. 22: A Grand Coulee man asked deputies for advice on how to deal with an evicted tenant who wanted to return to clean up the property.

The petitioners also requested a restraining order against the respondents to prevent the removal of a fence the respondents claim is on their property until the court makes a ruling on the matter.
In an unlawful detainer matter, Grand Vista LLC seeks to evict Willis Howard Waggoner, of Grand Coulee, from the Lakeview Terrace Mobile Home Park. The petitioner claims the respondent owes $1,610 in unpaid rent through last December.
