Linda Kay Burghard died February 19, 2015, due to complications of a severe stroke.
She was born December 15, 1944, to Harvey and Ulla Haase in Ritzville.
She worked as a caregiver for Shirley Libsack for approximately four years. After that she managed a Sears Outlet store combined with Lyndie’s Ceramics. She enjoyed creating pieces and helping others. After closing the Sears Outlet and Lyndie’s, she worked as the clerk/treasurer for the Town of Odessa until she retired in December of 2013.
She enjoyed scrapbooking and was an avid reader. She enjoyed her family, most of all her grandson Riley, who was the light of her life.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother Steve Dunsmoor.
She is survived by her son Chad Burghard (Debbie) and grandson Riley Burghard of Spokane; sister Judy Burghard (“favorite” brother-in-law Jerry) of Odessa; nephew Mike (Kim and Tyler) of Newman Lake; and brothers Tim Haase of Spokane and Jack Dunsmoor of California.
A graveside service only will be held. Arrangements will be provided by Fairmont Memorial Association of Spokane.
