Neil N. Lobe was born on March 20, 1950 in Ritzville to Leo and Viola Lobe. He grew up in Odessa and graduated from Odessa High School in 1968; he then attended college and graduated with a degree in mechanics.
Neil married Colleen Haase on September 3, 1970 in Odessa. The couple raised their two children Penny and Landon on the family farm. They farmed for 44 years west of Odessa. Neil passed away on March 9, 2015 at his home in Odessa.
He is survived by his wife Colleen at the home, son Landon (and Deanna) Lobe and grandson Lane Lobe along with several nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his daughter Penny Haase in 1988, parents Leo and Viola Lobe and two sisters Lynnette Wolff and Kathy Andrews. He was a member of the Heritage Church, Odessa Gun Club, Washington Association of Wheat Growers and formerly the FFA advisory committee.
He enjoyed having coffee with the boys in the morning, hunting, fishing, and watching basketball and rodeo. Woodworking had also become a great hobby for him. His family and his grandson were his biggest enjoyment.
A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heritage Church in Odessa with Pastor Jon Hayashi officiating.
