Casey Schlomer was crowned Miss Odessa on Sunday evening at the high school library. She takes over the duties from Jenna Shafer who represented Odessa in 2014. Schlomer read her essay about what it means to her to be Miss Odessa and represent the town of Odessa. She also answered an impromptu question which was about who influenced her the most. She said it was her grandmother, Connie Greenwalt. Greenwalt worked hard so she could help financially and whenever Schlomer needed anything, her grandmother was always there. She was the lone contestant this year, but she is very involved in school and community activities and has a lot of pride in Odessa. Schlomer is the daughter of Joe and Gina Schlomer of Odessa and Amy and Kevin Schafer of Ritzville. She has two sisters, Tori and Ella Schlomer, and one brother, Theron Schlomer.
