Auction items list grows

Thousands of dollars in vacation packages, activities and sporting events, quilts, unique items and other treasures have been generously donated to support the Odessa Healthcare Center’s 24th Annual Wine Tasting and Auction to be held this Friday, May 1. Here is a list of items in the Live Auction and “Live on the Side” that have yet to be mentioned:

Vacation packages

• Holland America cruise for two (up to seven days) to your choice of Alaska, the Caribbean, Mexico or Canada/New England (a gift from Holland America Line, Steve and Dr. Linda Powell, Dr. Craig Olson and Integra Imaging, PS).

• Weekend stay in a beautiful Lake Pend Oreille condo in Bayview, Idaho. Two separate weekends up for auction (a gift from Mike Harshberger, RPh).

• Enjoy a week stay in a two-bedroom, two-bath Palm Springs, Calif. condo. Valid November 13-20, 2015 (a gift from Larry and Linda Gustafson).

• Northern Quest overnight stay with dinner for two at EPIC Sports Restaurant (a gift from Northern Quest Casino).

Activities and sporting events

• 2016 NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball Championship tickets in Spokane with a meal at the Red Dragon (a gift from The Kissler Foundation and Red Dragon).

• Four tickets to see Tim McGraw (9/3/15) in Spokane, dinner at Anthony’s and overnight stay at Northern Quest Casino (a gift from Parker, Smith & Feek, Anthony’s Restaurants and Dingus, Zarecore & Associates).

• Coeur d’Alene Stay and Cruise – Two tickets to cruise around beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene and an overnight stay at The Coeur d’Alene Resort (a gift from The Coeur d’Alene Resort and Odessa Union Warehouse/Ag Ventures NW, LLC).

• Salmon fishing for two from either Wanapum Dam to Brewster or Wanapum Dam to Richland. Includes transportation from Odessa, a boat and fishing gear. Must have valid fishing licenses (a gift from Mark Worley and Landon Lobe).

• Fun in the Sun for Ten – private beach party on Lake Roosevelt complete with boating, appetizers, summer beverages and dinner on the beach (a gift from Leffel, Otis & Warwick, PS).

• Pool Party for Fifteen includes pool rental, lifeguards, sodas and snacks (a gift from Friends of the Pool)

• Two hour gym party in Moses Lake, complete with a foam pit and rock climbing wall (a gift from AIM Gymnastics).

• Four Park Hopper tickets to Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure Park (a gift from Disneyland).

Quilts

• “Dancing in the Dark” quilt – romantic black floral fabric, with pink, green and floral accents, in a lattice design. Pieced by the Odessa Quilt Club and machine-quilted by Lise Ott of Experience Quilts! (a gift from Fronen Stepdecker Quilt Club).

• “Yellow Tulips” quilt – large handmade quilt (a gift from Alva Richardson).

• “Have a Happy Scrappy Christmas” quilt – pieced together by Patricia Gies and quilted by Lise Ott. Backed with Christmas red cuddle cloth and measures 65” x 80” (a gift from Patricia Gies and Experience Quilts!)

Unique items

• Progressive International Dinner – opportunity for eight people to dine on culinary delights from around the world (a gift from Clark and Charlene Kagele and Neil and Lecia Fink).

• Dr. Powell’s famous Oreo Cheesecakes (a gift from Steve and Dr. Linda Powell).

• Two smoked turkeys – 16-20 pounds (a gift from Doug and Jean Starkel).

• Choose a Purse – Two Kate Spade purses (one filled with $250 of merchandise, the other one filled with $350 of merchandise). Winning bidder gets choice of purse. Second highest bidder may choose to buy the other purse (a gift from Nancy Floether and Harley and Apryl Wraspir)

• VIP Seating for Eight at the 25th Annual Wine Tasting and Auction – includes tickets to the event, VIP red carpet treatment, four bottles of wine and the opportunity to go first in the buffet line (a gift from the Odessa Healthcare Foundation).

• Metal Art Dinner Bell on a Stand – handmade by Mandi Braun’s cousin, Coby Foust, of Colville.

Other treasures

• Portable 3500-watt generator (donated by Barb Schlimmer).

• Case-IH Magnum Electric 12-volt Ride-On Toy Tractor (a gift from The Odessa Trading Company).

• Apple gift basket including an Apple iPad Mini 2 and Apple iTunes gift card (a gift from the Odessa School Staff).

• Outdoor family fun and games bundle including croquet, bocce ball, lasso golf, horseshoes, bean bag toss, volleyball and badminton. Also includes a firepit and s’mores supplies (a gift from the OMHC Nursing Dept.).

• San Diego Bistro Set includes a black steel frame table and chair set with reversible cushions and a mesh style table top for quick dry (a gift from Ramm Hardware).

• Apple iPad Mini – 16 MB with WiFi and 7.9”display. Also includes a one-month membership to 24-Hour Fitness (a gift from the Odessa EMTs).

• Keep valuables safe in a Sentrysafe Firesafe filebox-style locking safe (a gift from Seth and Sandi Smith)

• Four wine glasses and four 2015 one-oz. Silver Eagle coins (a gift from Ott Insurance).

• Portable 92” movie screen, a multi-media LCD LED video game/home movie projector, popcorn, bowls and seasonings (a gift from Carpenter, McGuire & DeWulf).

In addition to these great items, a new wine game “Corks for a Cause” will be introduced. For $20, you can purchase a wrapped up bottle of wine, with an unknown value which will be revealed during the event before the live auction starts.
