Monday, May 4: Responding to the 800 block of SE Pope, Wilbur ambulance personnel assisted an 87-year-old woman who was feeling faint.
Davenport ambulance personnel assisted a woman who was reportedly bleeding heavily from ruptured varicose veins on both ankles.
A deputy advised a young Davenport driver to stop spinning tires and speeding in the residential area of Fifth and Maxwell streets where children were at play.
Reardan EMTs treated a 41-year-old man who dumped his motorcycle along SR 231. He didn’t require hospital treatment and the bike sustained little to no damage. Five miles away, the EMTs responded to a separate motorcycle crash.
A 10-year-old boy was bitten by a dog at a Knapp Road in the Mohler area.
Tuesday, May 5: A woman told dispatchers she was being bothered by a man who was spray-painting his vehicle near the intersection of SR 25 and U.S. 2 in Davenport. The man was subsequently taken into custody for driving without a license on U.S. 2.
An 11-year-old boy was turned over to deputies after allegedly attempting to shoplift Pop Tarts from Davenport Family Foods.
A Davenport caller expressed concern about a locally based “virtual garage sale” on Facebook to which a man responded, describing a firearm for sale as having the ability to shoot a large group of people.
Odessa Police investigated a woman’s report that someone knocked on doors at residences in the 100 block of East 4th Avenue.
Someone hit and knocked over a stop sign at 4th Avenue and 5th Street in Odessa.
Wednesday, May 6: A Sprague man became concerned about a Hispanic man who came to a residence in the 600 block of West 2nd and requested money. The caller told dispatchers he believes the same individual did the same thing last year.
An item fell off a truck and flattened another vehicle’s tire while both were traveling on Morgan Street in downtown Davenport. The two drivers exchanged information.
An officer delivered a child to a Creston area residence when the youngster’s parents failed to show up at the school bus stop in Lincoln.
A caller reported a possibly intoxicated man tried to expose himself while both were at the Telford rest area on U.S. 2 west of Davenport.
Davenport School District personnel requested assistance from law enforcement when a man and woman were observed attempting to load a cyclone gate owned by the district into their vehicle in the vicinity of Third and Jefferson streets.
A Tamarack Canyon Road resident reported someone replaced a lock on her gate with two key locks and that a fence across a private road had been destroyed over time.
Odessa Police investigated the theft of a brown wallet and silver buckle from a residence at 4th Avenue and 3rd Street.
Reardan Police checked out a report of someone wearing a green ski mask seen moving cones near the school gym.
A Reardan woman told police that a “rude” man told her she had 72 hours to complete a “random” U.S. Census survey. A responding officer determined the survey was legitimate, but voluntary, and if residents request the taker to leave, he must do so.
Thursday, May 7: Davenport ambulance personnel were among those responding to a report of a one-vehicle rollover collision near the intersection of SR 25 and Teel Hill Road – but neither they nor law enforcement officers could locate it.
A Creston area boy was warned against contacting two individuals – a girl and another boy – after running afoul of law enforcement in Lincoln County and Airway Heights.
A Sprague woman told dispatchers she was afraid after seeing a man pick up a stick and point it like a gun at her vehicle while driving in the vicinity of 4th and C streets.
Friday, May 8: About $20,000 in damages were reported after the old AT&T tower on Macabee Road near Sprague was vandalized and a large amount of wire stolen.
A deputy responded to a report of horses allowed to run at-large on neighboring property adjacent to Hawk Creek Ranch Road north of Davenport.
A Creston man reported being yelled at by possibly intoxicated individuals at a residence on Wild Turkey Lane.
Saturday, May 9: Sprinklers thought to have been running throughout the night made a “mud hole” out of Bull Run and Circle roads north of Reardan.
An Odessa man reported his suspicions about two men wearing stocking caps traveling in a “beat up” car on Duck Lake Road.
Sunday, May 10: BSNF Railroad personnel became suspicious that a theft may have been in progress after observing a pickup and trailer backed up to a pile of ties in the vicinity of Old Sprague Highway and Williams Lake Road. A responding deputy found nothing out of place.
A motion alarm went off at a business on Division Street in downtown Odessa after a bird got inside.
Deputies responded to a dispute between neighbors on Redwine Canyon Road that concerned a downed fence and the discovery of sheep and pigs in the field of a man who reported damage to his first cutting of hay.
A deputy checked out a report of a man “continually” shooting a shotgun from his porch at vehicles he deems are moving too fast down Cline Road north of Davenport.
U.S. 2 was closed for a time near Davenport after a vehicle with ammunition inside caught fire.

New Criminal Cases
William (Billie) James Sims, 45, of Reardan and Spokane Valley, is charged with second-degree assault (domestic violence) in connection with the April 24 assault with a baseball bat and by strangulation of a 39-year-old Reardan woman who required hospital treatment for head and chest injuries.
Trista Dashawnie Harris, 30, Grand Coulee, is charged with taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s permission, four counts of second-degree theft and two counts of third-degree theft in connection with incidents involving a stolen vehicle and the taking of credit and debit cards between March 19 and 24. Nearly $989 was removed from the bank account of a man for whom she was working as a caretaker.

In a foreclosure matter against the Estate of Kevin J. Sweeney (who died March 9, 2014), Sharron Sweeney (an heir living in Kootenai County, Idaho) and his unknown heirs, Colonial Savings seeks permission to sell property at 52184 Euclid Road East in the Reardan area to satisfy a debt of $209,310.91.
