Project manager praises local students, community

The following was sent in an email to Odessa FBLA instructor Terri King and 2nd Harvest representative Julie Humphreys by the Linda Spahr, Lead2Feed project manager for the USA Today Charitable Foundation who was in Odessa Tuesday for the award presentation to the FBLA chapter at Odessa High School.

Thank you both for a wonderful day celebrating the Odessa community and it’s terrific students.

Terri (King): Every child should be blessed with a teacher like you! I can’t wait for my colleague Debby Dodge to meet you in Chicago!

Julie (Humphries): Your transition into non-profit work will be wonderful for the greater Spokane community.

I have a new-found admiration for Washington state and the people who lead and serve!

I have attached the national press release so Julie can gain further media attention to this accomplishment and the continued work of dedicated students. I know there are more great things ahead.

I think today was a wonderful day for Suellen (White) and Melissa (Cloninger) and representing their years of leadership in Odessa and Spokane. As both retire soon, you two will clearly be ready to step up and fill the shoes in a new way!

Thank you again for allowing me to celebrate with you. I was honored and humbled. And my ‘landscapes and sky’ photo library has many wonderful new additions from my drive!

Kind regards,

Linda J. Spahr
