Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center would has welcomed Ryan Carpenter to the Physical Therapy Department. Carpenter was born and raised in Moses Lake, with family in and around Odessa. His mother is Lori Zeiler Carpenter. He spent much time in the area, visiting his grandparents and other relatives, the Libsacks.
Carpenter grew up playing sports and really enjoyed being able to play. Staying away from injuries was crucial for him and sparked his interest in Physical Therapy during his high school years.
He went to Moses Lake High School where he was a 2- and 3-sport athlete focusing on football. He attended Central Washington University on a football scholarship, playing two years before focusing on schooling. After four years, he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Physiology.
He married his high school sweetheart, Amanda, in 2010 while they were still living in Ellensburg and before graduating and moving home in 2011. In 2012, he was accepted to physical therapy school and started in July at Touro University Nevada in Henderson, Nev.
He and his wife enjoyed their time in Nevada, so many miles from home, but were glad to return. They were blessed with the birth of a daughter in January of this year, and his co-workers at OMHC have enjoyed watching her grow into an integral part of their little family.
Carpenter graduated in May 2015 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and started his clinical career here in Odessa at the end of June.
