Great weather, smiles and laughter helped kick off Pre-Fest Thursday evening, starting with the Chalk-Drawing Contest sponsored by Wheatland Bank and held in the bank's front parking area. Children in four different age groups were asked to draw different things. The youngest contestants drew a rainbow, with Aubrey Iverson (daughter of Kamie and Brenick Iverson) winning the top prize in her age group.
