Members of the Odessa Healthcare Foundation met with Drex Palmer, ART, Radiology Department Director, who showed them the portable X-ray machine that the foundation purchased for Odessa Memorial Hospital with the proceeds of the 2015 Wine Tasting and Auction event.
The portable X-ray unit is used when patients cannot or should not be moved to the radiology room due to their clinical condition. Instead, the X-ray machine comes to the patient.
