Titan teams lose non-league Tues. games to Davenport

Both the girls and boys Titan varsity basketball teams suffered their third losses of the season, this time at the hands of the Davenport Gorillas Tuesday night in Davenport.

Lanessa Simon led the Titan girls in points with 14 out of the 20 scored, along with five rebounds, one assist, three steals, and a block. Casey Schlomer scored two points, had six rebounds and three blocks. Amber Smith and Brenna Carstensen also scored two points each, with Carstensen also getting two rebounds and Smith getting three rebounds, four steals and a block.

Missing several easy shots and two of their starters, the Titan boys also fell to the Gorillas in a 66-28 loss.

John DeWulf led the boys varsity team in points with 11 and had five rebounds and a block, followed by Jayd Jennings with seven points, two rebounds and a steal and Dylan Shockley with six points and a rebound.

The Titans play an away game against Valley Christian Friday, December 11, starting at 3 p.m. in Spokane Valley, with girls JV first, followed by boys JV, girls varsity and boys varsity.
